Thank you for an opportunity to speak about the exceptional experience we had at the Mitterstill Castle. For my wife’s birthday we decided to enjoy 2 wonderful nights at the castle spa. Our first impression was a warm welcome from Alex at reception who ensured our stay was the highest quality. Alex also provides a comprehensive history of the castle making the stay even more authentic. The room was wonderful with wood beamed ceilings, period furniture and a spectacular balcony view. The dining room staff made us feel like family during every meal. Since we are vegetarians, the hotel made sure we had delicious meal selections. There was a nice selection for the spa including an outdoor sauna. The outdoor pool was at perfect temperature and there was plenty of space to sun with magnificent mountain views. The highlight of our stay was how the staff surprised my wife with a panoramic patio seat, decorated table, card and cake for her birthday. This was a vacation trip we will never forget and continue talking about. We will definitely return making Mitterstill Castle an annual vacation stop and recommend this elegant location to friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful lifetime experience.

Giving this place a 4.7 feels like a crime. The castle is rich in history, the meals are very well curated. The views are out of this world and dont even get me started on the staff, they are all super professional and very kind.

Was an amazing hotel and the staff was extremely friendly! Could spend a week here. Food was amazing! From the few course dinner to the breakfast that was above and beyond most “inclusive breakfasts”. Can’t wait to come back!

It’s been a little while since my husband and I stayed at Hotel Schloss Mittersill, but we can’t stop talking about/comparing every place to here. Pros: -amazing breakfast (best in Europe and friendliest staff) -beautiful grounds and pool -relaxing! -stunning room Cons: -will ruin every hotel experience from this point on We had such a relaxing time here and it was perfect for a weekend away.

We only visited the restaurant, we always dine there on our way back from Tyrol, the food is excellent, location is equally so- set in a beautiful castle, tastefully decorated with a good mix of antiques and modern pieces. Fabulous views to match everything else. Highly recommend it.

It has been almost five (5) decades since I started here. The facilities and area are beautiful. It appears little has changed, but there have been improvements.

The castle is truly authentic yet completely with modern amenities. WiFi in all rooms, really friendly staff. Great atmosphere, the food is to die for. Finally, the bed is soooo comfy. Great central location to enjoy the Hohe Tauern National Park.

First the pros: fantastic renovated hotel on a stunning perch above Mittersill and not far from Kitzbühel without all the hoi palloi. Superb Austrian food and warm, friendly service. Gorgeous spa with outdoor pool, Finish sauna and a good bit of history dating back to the 12th century, including a witches cellar. Cons: Rooms were a bit uneven. Some were well heated, others in the group had no heating at all. Management made no real effort to accommodate those in unheated rooms other than a cheap electric heater; excusing the matter with a curt "handyman is not here today." Also didn't like that waiters showed up immediately after dinner with schnapps, etc. and, unlike many fine restaurants in the region, added the inflated-priced drinks and extras to the bill without any disclosure. The take-away here is that one must assume anything set in front of you will cost extra, so ask. Not very classy, especially at the price point of this place.
