I loved everything about this place. The location was great, the staff was friendly and super helpful, the rooms were spacious, and the view (at least from Room #1) was a dream. Let me go into more detail.||LOCATION: The location is in the Fischerviertel, which in my humble opinion is a very scenic, historical part of Ulm that connects to other very scenic, historical parts of Ulm. You can get to the Metzgerturm, cathedral, Marktplatz, and main streets full of shops, all within 10-15 minutes. You're also a bridge away from Neu-Ulm, if you want to try more modern fusion restaurants. It's about 15 minutes from the train station by foot, but there's a bus that drops you off closer.||STAFF: Very friendly staff that makes you feel at home. They assist you with everything the best way they can. We had a minor injury during our stay, and the receptionist was very kind and responsive. Definitely helped! They also cooked fresh eggs (sunny side up or scrambled) for us. It's supposed to be upon request, but they ask you proactively, which takes away the awkwardness of having to ask yourself. Just really wonderful folks.||ROOMS: For such a "small house," the rooms were pretty big. We had a view of the water and bridge. The room was complete with safe and wi-fi, with furnishings that made it look charming.||Please note there is no elevator (I wouldn't even know where they would put it, to be honest). Also note that it's an old house, so the windows aren't double paned. Which, since our room was next to the river, got very cold! By the time we came back to the hotel, the staff was gone for the night, so we couldn't get extra blankets.||TIP: Make sure you ask for extra blankets unless you're visiting during the peak of summer, or in the middle of a heatwave.
