Hotel Schmid & Alfa

(+) Very nice hotel, very close to the lake. We requested a quiet room and got one on the 4th floor with a stunning view. It was end of April and the mountains were still covered by snow. We have got a parking place for 10CHF. Breakfast was very good (Prosecco, 2 types of non-dairy milks, very good coffee, a few types of bread, ham and cheese, fresh croissants). Brunnen is a small cozy city with many nice restaurants around the hotel. A couple of tips: boat trip on Luzern lake or hike in the mountains. Very famous mountain resort Stoos and Mythen region are very close by.|(-) It would be nice to clean the sink in the room 403.

I have recently returned from an excellent stay at the Hotel Schmid & Alfa. Maria and the rest of the staff were very friendly, helpful and eager to ensure their guests had a pleasant relaxing stay. My economy room in the Alfa was spotlessly clean, had a lovely comfortable bed, multi-channel TV, fridge, writing area and ensuite facilities at a great rate. Breakfast had a welcome range of items to choose from plus the usual coffee/tea/fruit juice options in plentiful supply. The hotel location is superb, just across the road from the lake and Brunnen landing stage from where you can take the lake boats to either Flüelen or Luzern. Regular buses operate between Brunnen railway station and the town centre. The Schmid & Alfa Hotel is on my 'Go To' list for this beautiful part of Switzerland and I have no hesitation in recommending it to other travellers.

Truly a gem! Maria and the entire team were so friendly and went above and beyond! I had the best stay! They had fabulous recommendations and even upgraded my room to the top floor for my birthday. An experience I will never forget and I’m very grateful for their kindness and hospitality. Highly highly recommend this incredible place!

We found a beautiful hotel and perfect apartments for friends and family, located in a quiet place with lots of activities nearby. The apartment faces the lake and is within walking distance to the car parking and Coop grocery store. We were able to book a yacht ride right in front of the apartment in just 5 minutes. Petra, the superhost, was incredibly helpful and went out of her way to assist us. She is a really amiable person. There's a great walking street near the lake where you can enjoy your evening watching sunsets. Distance To Eingelberg (Mount Titlis) - 45Mins Drive .

This hotel became my dream destination. Love the clean rooms, friendly staff and service. The view of the room I stayed was amazing!

The host (Marina?) was very helpful, kind, and accommodating. From the time we went down our car, she always made sure that we are comfortable and felt welcome. She even gave us complimentary drinks. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the beds comfortable. The highlight was the view from our room which was directly across the serene lake and gorgeous mountains. This is one place where you can relax, just sit down and enjoy the serenity around you.
