Hotel Schrofenstein

This has been a really nice, comfortable hotel for a stop-over during a longer trip. It is centrally located in Landeck; however, unfortunately, the train station is not centrally located, and it's about a 20 minute flat walk. The room design is slightly dated (particularly the green carpet!) and the mattresses are on the soft side. The third sofa bed works fine. The walls seem a little bit thin. Everything was clean and in good repair. The restaurant in the hotel is very nice, we had two meals there. The breakfast is plentiful. Friendly and professional staff.

Another excellent stay after two year break. Good localisation in charming little town with kess than 30 mins drive to 3 huge skiing resorts. Comfortable room, cleaned on a daily basis, nice sauna and restroom at the rooftoop. Very good restaurant with Tirolian specialities. Last but not least - helpful and friendly staff

Hotel in centre so very handy for everything. Stayed one night so did not see all that much. The night we stayed was a party night of some sort. Plenty going on in the street. Live music which was good and a happy atmosphere which was a bonus.||Room was ok but basic. Worn in places with stained carpets. Would not class as a 4 stars. Evening meal and breakfast was ok. Shame the staff where not a smiling bunch!

What a glorious hotel this is. As soon as you walk through the revolving door, even if it is very late at night, you are met by a fine receptionist who is only willing to attend to your every need, even if that need is a beer. The decor is fantastic and the wood makes you feel instantly warm. Breakfast the next day was plentiful and wonderful and the lady was dressed in traditional Austrian attire, a nice touch. The evening meal was absolutely gorgeous and you were not left hungry either. The portions were large. The hotel staff are all wonderful, very polite and very attentive and the hotel is very popular with the locals throughout the day and in the evening. There was even a game of cards going on one night. I am very impressed with this little Austrian gem and I will be back, after recommending this hotel to all my friends and family. I have two days left and I hope they go as slow as possible because I am enjoying my stay so much.

A hotel where one feels at home immediately. Excellent service and wonderful atmosphere. Rooms are spacious but most important: the beds are wonderful. The mattresses are just the right firmness, my sleep was very refreshing.||||I would go back in a heartbeat. The restaurant was very good too!

Beds are old and creaky and way too soft; there are bugs (eg silverfish) in the room, there is nobody at the reception after 10 PM, the sink is in the room and not in the bathroom (bathroom is too small to fit one), many rooms face the main street where are bars that are open late and the customers are noisy. In short, this is a hotel for you if you like creaky soft beds, silverfish and noise. Otherwise it is not.

Ended up staying at this very friendly hotel by accident when my ski trip to St Anton was delayed due to avalanche danger and all access to the resort was blocked. ||The staff were very helpful and accommodating given the weather conditions, the restaurant and breakfast were very good. Thank you for being so welcoming.

Elise Hoerrz was extremely helpful and kind. We arrived to ski at St anton but the resort was closed and they were not able to open the roads. Our taxi took us to Landeck. We were recommended Hotel Schrofenstein. ||The hotel is family run. The rooms very comfortable. Restaurant cosy and we had an afternoon strolling around the snow covered walks.||We are very grateful for the welcome and flexibility of the staff.||Would recommend the pear schnapps 😊

What a great lil ski town hotel the staff was friendly and waiting for me to check in with a whole packet. Love the attention to detail. The front desk people showed us to our room nice change from fat lazy Americans. Would come back here in a second. Rooms were big for Europe breakfast buffet was good parking was easy
