Hotel Schweizerhof Pontresina

We didn’t stay here but dropped in one our first night for dinner. It was so good and value for money, and the staff were all so friendly, that we stopped by for dinner each of the four nights we were in Pontresina. The set menu was different each night and had adequate choice. It was cooked well, presented beautifully and, as above, the staff were really friendly. There were really nice looking items on the a la carte menu but we were perfectly happy each night with this fixed option - and generous portions by the way which was welcome also after long days hiking. The dining room has great views too - another bonus.

I have stayed at the wonderful Hotel Schweizerhof in the heart of Pontresina many times, in both winter and summer. With each visit, the quality has only improved. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the cheerful and attentive staff throughout the hotel, the atmosphere is always uplifting and genuine. I’ve recommended the hotel to many friends, and they have all shared the same outstanding experience.

Hotel is located .4 miles up a steep hill from train station. If you have luggage, get a ride up the hill.|Staff were all exceedingly welcoming and helpful. Classic older hotel that has been thoroughly modernized. Corner suite had great mountain views, charming modern knotty pine interior and furniture. The suite had a nice sunny private balcony. Very clean room with daily housekeeping service.|Very nice breakfast with good variety and linen tablecloths in a sunny room with windows all around.|Would definitely stay again!

Small three star type of hotel, the staff is nice. Breakfast is nice. The rooms are a bit dated and hard!!! Bed and pillows aka 3star at the best.

I recently stayed at this hotel during my trip to Switzerland and overall had a positive experience. The location is excellent, making it a great base for exploring the surrounding area. The rooms were clean and decent, offering everything I needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was definitely the food – both breakfast and dinner were great. Dinner came with a choice of three menu options each night: vegetarian, meat, or fish, which I really appreciated. However, there were a few drawbacks. The garage has very limited capacity, and both the entrance and parking spots are extremely narrow, which made parking quite difficult, especially with a larger car. Unfortunately, I also experienced a serious issue: after the Engadin ski marathon, my race cross-country ski boots were stolen from the hotel's ski room. The hotel assured me they would contact the guests who checked out that day, but sadly, no one returned them. In summary: great food, solid accommodation, and an ideal location – but some logistical challenges and, in my case, an unfortunate incident that left a bitter aftertaste.

The Hotel is Well located and very cozy, clean spacious rooms with beautiful views. The receptionist Susana was wonderful. The restaurant has huge glass windows that allow you to have breakfast while admiring the mountains. For the breakfast was a variety of fruits, pastries, cheeses everything it was delicious. I really recommend. I will go back. I was with a group of people and everyone loved it.

The hotel has nice decor and helpful front desk staff. My entire room was clean and laid out well. My friend's room, on the other hand, was not, especially her bathroom, which was cramped and you could visually see the shower had not been cleaned. Room temperature change required a call to the front desk. My room was too warm while my friend's room was too cold. The rooms did not contain extra bla

Everything about this place is AMAZING! The property has spectacular views, only 150m/200m from the bus stop, very lovely staff and awesome facilities. We had a room for 3 and that was very spacious and comfortable for us. The only disappointment was that we were staying 1 night! Will definitely be back.
