An unforgettable experience at Hotel Schweizerhof! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm hospitality, elegant atmosphere, and attention to every detail. The location is perfect—central, convenient, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Our room was a perfect mix of comfort and style—spacious, spotless, and equipped with luxurious amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the view from our window was stunning. The service throughout the hotel was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and always professional. Breakfast was a real highlight, with a rich variety of fresh, local, and high-quality options in a beautiful setting. We also enjoyed the cozy bar and relaxing common areas. Every moment at Schweizerhof felt special, making it more than just a hotel—it felt like home. We will absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and refined stay.

The worst restaurant. Food is tasteless and over expensive. Take photos of the roses and go on.. Don't let the roses trap you into eating there.

This review is for the restaurant only: We had gone there as it was the only open restaurant at night. The vibe seemed nice with the flowers and music but the food was very average and lacked flavour. We ordered the pasta and pizza. The staff & service were okay. But you'll get much better food options nearby. Wouldn't recommend this one.

This is about the restaurant's food and only about it. The wait staff were very kind and helpful to me, even if it seemed like they had a lot of work. I arrived a little bit after 6 after missing the boat back to Luzern. I asked for simple gnocchis and it took over an hour. They ended up being store bought ones, the sauce was bad and the mozzarella (weird shreds ?) tasted very off I didnt eat it all. I hope I won't get sick. It was really expensive for something like this. The live music was nice but way too loud.

The restaurant is well-appointed and the menu is fantastic. The amazing history of this Hotel and the equally impressive record of world-class chefs and culinary accomplishments are elegantly described in a booklet presented to each guest. The restaurant's service team was coordinated, efficient and friendly.

Ate one night at their pizza restaurant. The food was OK, but after the meal, when I went to pay, I was first presented with a card reader already entered with an amount that looked far more than the cost of our meal. I asked to see the bill, and after some faffing about I got a "Sorry, that was the wrong table" response. Having found the right table (and removed a charge for a drink we didn't have) I was presented again with the card reader, and before I presented my card the waiter pressed the option for "add 20% tip". By this time I was getting more than a little p*ssed off with his attempts to make a little extra from our visit, so I asked him to start again, and I'd choose what tip to include. Rather reluctantly he entered the total again and left me with a choice of 10%, 15%, or 20% tip .... or "no tip". By that point, the choice was a simple one!

I will start off by saying that this is only a review of the restaurant. We did not stay at the hotel. This restaurant has an extensive menu with higher prices than usual. We went in to get food as it was raining, it had a great view, and we were waiting for transport. The service was great and the staff was very friendly. Drinks were provided in great time. However. The food needs so much improvement. I got the specialty lamb for 35.00 CHF. It was so disappointing and lacked any flavor, even though dry (crunchy) peppers were present in the entire dish. This was served with bread that was rock solid. I would avoid this restaurant as much as possible as it seems like a tourist trap.

Nice staff, but there's some training needed, especially behind the bar. The room was clean and the bathroom is brand new, well at least in our room. The room was noisy from the church chimes, every 15 minutes and caused some sleep problems The staff are polite, accomodating and flexible. The breakfast is average. Coffee was less then average, tea was not the way the Brits like it.
