We stayed at this hotel for two nights, and overall, we had a great experience. The staff were kind and helpful, the rooftop live music was a nice touch, and the cozy atmosphere made our stay even more enjoyable. We also appreciated the friendly guests and the relaxing vibe throughout the hotel.
However, one thing I wouldn’t recommend is booking activities through the hotel. In terms of both price and convenience, it didn’t really work out for us. We booked a whale shark tour through the hotel and later wanted to check the photos taken during the activity. When we asked the hotel staff about them, communication with the third-party agent was quite poor (to be fair, the hotel acknowledged this and apologized).
We asked about the photo pricing in advance, but they never gave us a clear answer. Later, the tour company and the agent came to the hotel, but they didn’t even show us the photos—they just Airdropped them to us and told us to pay $75. They said it was because they brought the photos to the hotel, which didn’t make much sense. We were already frustrated with the situation and told them, “We’ll just delete the photos—we don’t want them anymore.” But they said that wasn’t possible and then offered to lower the price. Honestly, it felt ridiculous.
We later found out from other travelers who did the same tour that they received their photos by email and paid a different price.
So, while I’d definitely recommend the hotel itself, I wouldn’t recommend booking tours through them. When we asked other guests, most said they had booked directly through tour companies, and there are many other options available nearby.
