For its price, this hotel provides exceptional room condition in the most strategic place in Bandung (located just a few steps from Bandung Station)

Hotel Serena Bandung offers a prime location, earning a solid 5 stars for its proximity to the Bandung Train Station. The staff's friendliness is exemplary, garnering another 5 stars for their clear instructions and helpful demeanor. While the value for money is decent for a 2-star hotel, scoring 4 stars, the cleanliness and facilities fall a bit short. With a rating of 3 stars each, the cleanliness could be improved, and the facilities, though simple, are somewhat lacking, especially with WiFi only available in the lobby. Overall, it's a convenient option with friendly service but could benefit from some upgrades.

The hotel really sucks when it comes to maintenance and cleanliness . One of the horizontal panels of the room door was missing making it look a bit unpleasant from inside. The room looks like it has not been painted for years. We found hair on all three bed sheets when checking in wondering if they changed them after the previous guests left. The cups and saucers in the room were dirty. Some of bowls in the restaurant during breakfast were visibly dirty. The watery bottom part of the toilet bowl looks disgusting giving one the impression that it has never been properly cleaned or washed even once. The elevator was so tiny that it only has room for a big guy with two big suitcases. By far the smallest elevator I have ever seen in my life. And the list goes on and on and on. It was a fiasco in terms of value for money. We paid for about 45 USD each for the three-night stay there, almost double the price of the room we stayed in Denpasar a couple months back. However, the one in Denpasar is way nicer and cleaner for only half the price. I wonder if the management has ever set aside a fund for maintenance and knows what quality control is. I have stayed in many hotels of at least seven different countries including Indonesia and this hotel is by far the worst ever!

The water reservoir must be cleaned, because the first time the water is drained it gives off a strong smell

This hotel was very dirty and in need of decoration. For our daughter. They put. A mattress on the floor even though. we booked an extra bed. The bathroom was very dirty. Thee towels and sheets were stained. There was no toast for breakfast as it had broken and no milk for tea or coffee. The wifi was very poor and only available in reception. I would not stay here if I had a choice.

I spent a night in Serena Hotel on March 31st, 2017. I stayed in the deluxe room. At first, I thought the hotel's services would be really bad after all the bad reviews I read on the internet. But it's not that bad actually.||(+)|•The location is strategic. It's right across the Bandung train station.|•The room is clean and quite spacy.|•The staffs are friendly and responsive. I got a problem with the TV and the staff came right after we called him.|•Our breakfast menu tastes good.|•Check-in and check-out process is fast enough.||(-)|•The furniture is kinda old.|•It's quite difficult to open the room's door.|•The bathroom is mossy at several spot but it's still okay. There's no cockroach like other reviewers said.|•For two stars hotel with such facilities, it's kinda expensive imo. But since I got a promo from certain website, it's okay for me.||Will consider to come back here next time.

I had to stay in Serena several times, because my office booked me there. They know now not to book this hotel any more.||Location is the only positive thing about the hotel - it's 5 minutes walk from the train station. The hotel has huge potential, and I hope that the owners will change the management, and would invest in the renovations. Especially because there's a number of new clean hotels being built nearby.||- rooms are simply filthy. ||- bed linen was disgustingly dirty. I think it hadn't been changed at least for over couple of weeks before I checked in. The staff was not happy when I asked them to bring clean bed linen.||- wifi barely works||- bathroom walls are covered in moss and filth. I don't think bathrooms were cleaned since the hotel was built.||- hotel allows more than 3 people in each room for big Indonesian groups. As a result it can be very noisy.||- breakfast is ok. Mostly chicken and noodles||- for what you get in Serena, hotel is very much overpriced.
