Serenity plus! Our 2 nights here were so relaxing we can’t wait to return. I can see why John Wayne enjoyed Mulegé and Serenidad so much. It’s an extra special place. The food was great…especially breakfast. The hotel is well kept and very comfortable. We loved the staff as well.

We planned to stay 4 nights with our RV using the provided hook ups (electric, water, dump) but the electric service (110 amp) was running hot at 139 amp and our surge protector kept cutting out the power. We had to leave after one night using our battery banks to keep things running. RV area was neat and clean. Didn't use the showers so no comment on that

Just spent on night in our RV, but definitely plan to return for longer next year. Beautiful resort and the pool area is a perfect place to relax.

Tidy simple rooms The hotel grounds are beautiful and clean. Pool was crystal clear and has a swim up bar. Get the Margarita!

The place is nice but the rooms are run down, I loved the pool and the outdoor areas to hang out but no wifi in the back rooms with the triple beds. There were bugs in the room and smelled bad in the bathroom area. It's a place filled with too many gringo guests, good for those with rv's who just park and use showers but the rooms aren't nice. Next time I go, I won't rent a room, I'll take my travel van.

I stay here a full week. It was perfect for our trip. It was open every single day for the restaurant. The pool was lovely on the hot days and close to all the things we wanted to visit. There was housekeeping every single day, which was really nice to come back to after a long day at the beach.

This is a classic Mexican ranch- style motel in a palm grove in Mulege. The rooms are adequate, the food is excellent and it is just a lovely stop over for our trip driving down Baja.

Authentic & original place with art paintings next to the river where you can take a pleasanr walk... Very peaceful... The staff smiled, were kind & helpful. I think it's a good idea to keep the Wi-Fi in the main building Sleep better without the Wi-Fi waves in the room

Yelp
What the kitchen makes is fresh. Limited food menu, but the margaritas are amazing! We were there with a group, known to the owners, and not our first time. Very welcoming and hospitable. This is a sense of old world Mexico. Relaxed and unhurried. The best experience is to kindly request, not demand. Enjoy your stay! I can't wait to return.

Yelp
This old but very clean and quaint hotel, bar and restaurant is a classic. Located about a mile from downtown. The dinner menu was expansive and very good. The landscaping was impeccable and located along a very clean non paved air plane landing strip. Near ocean. It's history is rich amongst visitors like John Wayne and Frank Sinatra. It's not modern by any means but if your looking for a touch of "Mexico" this is the place. Clean rooms. Beds a little too firm. Employees VERY attentive. They even tended to a fire place for me over a 2 hour period. Did I mention any thing negative? If you are looking for a sweet spot in Mulege, this is it.... A bit pricey but worth it!!!

Yelp
We called the hotel to make a two day reservation for two rooms. We were told by the person that answered to call a different number. We did that and at the end they told us to wire $10,000 pesos to a certain account. We refused and made reservations at a different hotel. How were we to know this person was even working at the hotel and not scamming us for the money and why did they ask for the entire fee upfront? No thanks.

Yelp
Is this a hotel? If so I expect basic security like doors and windows that will lock Hot water would be nice too. Oh and then the power went out until 7am. The peeling paint and cracked windows are not acceptable. Pushing the limits for what "Rustic" means ;) Now, this ain't the Ritz I get it but some TLC would get you four. Positives? After 265 miles running Baja off road a shower and pitchers of margaritas is just what we needed.!!!! There is some effort such as bottled water in the room. Ok beds and cold AC so good enough. Food was good but overpriced for deep into Baja. My Mrs would not approve Would be ok for the guys and travelers.

Yelp
This is a great hotel/motel for flying enthusiasts. The unpaved runway is kept in great condition and you can park your airplane at the hotel. Great entertainment at night (Friday I think). Swim up bar, clean rooms and exceptionally friendly staff.

Yelp
It's really cute & charming. Friendly service. Nice bar & restaurant. Apparently it's been a "rustic" getaway for the Hollywood stars. Rooms are basic & clean. Dog friendly!! Only 3 stars just because it was about $55 which is a bit expensive on our Mx budget.

Yelp
This review is for both the RV camping site and restaurant, and some notes on kiteboarding. We used Hotel Serenidad's RV camping on our drive to La Ventana early January 2017. I liked that it was a walled-in compound. It felt secure. Water, sewer, and electrical all worked. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was ok, but I wish we had ventured out and eaten somewhere with a five star Yelp review. The staff was nice. The fireplace was lit and felt warm and inviting. There wasn't much going on, so we played some Ping-Pong to prepare for Beer Pong Championships of the World of La Ventana the following week. The hotel grounds were quiet and intimate. The pool looked nice. I kiteboard for fun and was able to drive my 24' RV around the outside perimeter of the hotel and along the riverfront road to a small public beach. The little beach had small palapas, It is east of the hotel and the small air strip that sits next door to the east of the hotel. Although the kiteboarding was only for advanced kiteboarders, due to the fact the launch was on the leeward side of the hill, I was able to work my way out to open water and clean air. On my return I had to land about 1/2 mile down wind of the launch due to the absence of wind. The water was filthy on the inside at the launch and land, as the current carries the water southward as it dumps in from the river mouth. The RV campground is small. It would benefit from upgraded electrical connectors. All the electrical outlets were standard home 110 volt. Not designed to accommodate a standard RV plug, nor the amperage, correctly.

Yelp
Really pretty setting and interesting because a lot of old-timers like John Wayne, Sinatra and other stars used to come here. Average food at gringo prices, and the worst hash brows I've ever seen.

Yelp
The hotel is very quiet. The rooms are comfortable with A/c but they dont have TV! You can find better hotels in the area for a better price

Yelp
Spent several nights in an RV parked at their place. Great margaritas at the swim up bar. Dinner was awesome and more than we could possibly eat at one sitting. Stopping again on our way north. This time had fish tacos. Light breading and very good. Tonight is the pig roast which is on the rotisserie this afternoon. Pork was very good. Served with BBQ sauce so if you don't want it on your meat get it on the side. Served with a small salad and a tamale.

Yelp
Pass it by. Just stayed there and while room was on par for (non Los Cabo) Baja hotels, the service was another story. After being greeted by 92 year old owner he gave us complimentay large Margaritas ($7 value). When we went to the bar by the pool the bartender could hardly look up at us. When he did we asked for a premium tequila. Being told that well tequila only was available we offered to pay the difference. When the bill was presented to us the upgrade was charged at $10 US per drink. Asking to speak to a manager, all she did was confirm the price with the bartender and when we continued to politely explain we thought that charge was out of line, she abruptly walked away. No reduction was made. When we arrived at Hotel Oasis in Loreto the next day we ordered two Margaritas with the same premium tequila. We also asked how much the upcharge was for the premium tequila. He said 110 pesos (.55 cents US). They wouldn't have the nerve to upcharge $10 in West Los Angeles and Hotel Serinidad should not do it in rural Baja.
