SHIMA Natur- & Seminarhotel

Really ccozy pleace nearby Davos, good infraestructure, comfortable beds and really clean spaces. The common area is really cool, with all the neccessary implementation. Totally recomended experience.

Beautiful modern place with everything you need and more! Good, healthy breakfast, fantastic location and very nice staff with a lot of information about local sights!

We really enjoyed our stay at Shima-Davis and a lot of what made it good was the extremely friendly and helpful folk who work there. Excellent! ||The place is extremely clean and the rooms simple but fresh and comfortable. A room facing out the back would give a little more privacy. Shima is a little bit out of town so its good if you have a car. in the daytime a bus conventiently connects Shima to the town and train station but after 1830 there are no more buses. However there is large kitchen which you can use to prepare dinner. Many supermarkets in the town.||Breakfast in my opinion is fantastic!! ||Recommend. Especially for families with small children.

I spent a joyful weekend in January 2012 with my wife and 11 years old son. Structure off the beaten paths, near to lovely and charming restaurants, The owners helped us a lot in finding proper ski locations and booked restaurants for us, spending several minutes to find solutions even in a high-season scenario. Family room ideal for couples with young kids, two separate rooms with a shared bathroom. Structure very simple but nice, warm and clean. And do not forget prices much lower than any similar hotel in Davos. The hotel lacks spa service or pools. All in all a great way to afford a weekend in an expensive resort like Davos.

Can't say enough good things about Shima-Davos. Bus takes you straight from train station to Shima on the outskirts of town. Wonderful Ruth makes you feel like you've come home. Rooms are clean and perfect in every way. Food of this B&B are absolutely wonderful from the outstanding breakfast buffet with fantastic coffee machine to the home made cheesecake. Our rooms over looked the valley and the views from the second story sitting room are breath taking. It was really hard to leave and I hope to be back there some day soon!

An under stated property .. With layers of services and options .. You just have to ask! Very different from the places I normally stay at .,I have acheived Marriott Platinum for Life status .. Shima works. It does not profess to be something it is not .. It has the basics of a 5 * property .. Without the excessive luxury and non essentials that the higher rated hotels offer. I found physical AND mental peace of mind. Friendly, clean, warm and very welcoming. One cant go wrong .. So long as one has an understanding about Shima before booking/going there. A BIG THUMBS UP!

If you really want to relax and enjoy mother nature at Davos (which is more than 1500 meters above see level) the best accommodation is probably SHIMA-Davos. The hotel is run by the CEO´s and they do all the work on their own with only a few employees. You will be astonished how friendly and clean and perfect the place is. I can assure you that If you once experienced the atmosphere here, you will love it.
