*5/5 Stars* We recently hosted our daughter's wedding at Hotel Shivalik View, and it was an absolute delight! 🌟 The entire team, from management to staff, were extremely professional, courteous, and accommodating. Special thanks to Mrs. Mukta, who personally took charge of our event and ensured that every detail was perfectly executed. Her dedication and attention to detail were truly impressive! The venue was beautifully decorated by Team Sujit Florist and event organiser . The food was delicious and plentiful. Our guests were thoroughly impressed with the service and amenities. The hotel's commitment to excellence made our special day truly unforgettable. We highly recommend Hotel Shivalik View for any occasion, especially weddings! 💕 Thank you for making our daughter's wedding day so perfect!

Stayed here for a couple of nights for a wedding. Honestly, my experience was not that great. Let's start with the rooms. They were pretty bad. No full-length mirror, which is a basic thing you'd expect in any decent hotel. Several lights weren't working either. And the bathroom - It was filthy. Found a bunch of hair in the sink, which was just gross. The staff was another letdown. Nobody was around to help carry our bags. Had to remind them, and only then did someone show up. The worst part of the stay was the housekeeping situation. We had requested housekeeping and when we came back to our room, we found the door completely unlocked – and even the balcony door was left open. This is simply unacceptable. It's a serious security issue and no guest should have to deal with this. Breakfast was average, nothing great but nothing terrible either. The only saving grace is the location, which is pretty good. Overall, I'd say avoid this hotel. There are better options out there for the same price. Not recommended.

1. Unfortunately ony bad things to say about our stay. The rooms were absolutely filthy. Carpets looked like they had never been cleaned. Bathroom was falling apart as was the ceilings in the corridors. Avoid at all costs.

It is centrally located. Saff if very nice. Just hotel need renovation. Washrooms of delux rooms are very old style. It really need renovation. There are few hazards as well. Like in room 317 in washroom there is door without in lock which leads down straight to 10mt deep any kid can fall into it.

The location is perfect with spacious rooms. However the hotel is a little old and they haven’t worked on upgrading the inside of the hotel and rooms. Although the washrooms are old, they can atleast bring in new towels! Never go for their twin rooms, they will charge you same price as double bed rooms but they are pathetic

Absolutely disgusting place. The washrooms were filthy, full of flies, and completely unhygienic. It felt unsafe and gross to even use basic facilities. Cleanliness is clearly not a priority here. The staff was rude, unprofessional, and didn’t care at all about complaints. Zero hospitality, zero manners. This hotel is surviving only on its old reputation, which it does NOT deserve anymore. Total waste of money. I strongly advise everyone to avoid Shivalik View, Chandigarh. There are far better and cleaner hotels in the city. Never staying here again.

Pathetic, to sum it up in one word. This was my first time in Chandigarh and I went by google reviews of this Hotel. Only the location is good, otherwise it is no better than a government lodge. Going by the price i paid for a two night stay last week, you can find better and cheaper Oyo rooms near by. We booked a standard room and it was horrible, bad toilet. Staff look very demotivated or work like a government employee with no care for guests. Only the house keeping staff were decent to respond. Breakfast is bad. Will never stay here and will never recommend anyone to stay here.

Review: I recently stayed at Shivalik View Hotel, and while the location is decent, the property itself has clearly started to show its age. The room condition was disappointing. The washroom lock was broken, making it impossible to lock the door. The washroom itself was very small. Although the room had an attached balcony, the balcony door would get stuck against the floor while opening, making the balcony difficult to access. The cupboards and almirahs did not close properly, and the paintwork in the room appeared rough and unfinished. Parking was another inconvenience. While the hotel does have a large parking area, there was no free spot available at the time of my arrival. Instead of managing the vehicle themselves—which is generally expected from a hotel of this category by taking the car keys and adjusting parking internally—I was repeatedly asked to move my car from one place to another due to parking constraints. This was inconvenient and avoidable. The staff, unfortunately, did not feel very welcoming or proactive in handling these concerns, which further affected the overall experience. I paid ₹4,500 including breakfast, but in my opinion, the room quality and services do not justify this price. I would recommend this hotel only if the tariff is around ₹3,000 including breakfast. Anything beyond that does not offer value for money in its current condition. Overall, the hotel requires better maintenance and improved guest handling to match the prices being charged.
