The staff are really great. Very helpful. Always smiling. But the showers are either way too hot, or cold. Nothing in between. The plumbing needs fixing. Way too many mosquitoes in my room - even in the hotel bar. I hope I don't get sick. The hotel is on the edge of town. But the staff are great.

We spent 4 nights in Mandalay and all at this hotel. Rooms are standard but very clean with reasonable size bathroom. Breakfast excellent. The big problem is that this hotel is nowhere near anything and no restaurants anywhere close, having said that it does make up for it by having an excellent restaurant serving quality food at very reasonable prices. Eating here every night was worth staying here.||There is so much to see in Mandalay that it was relaxing returning late afternoon and rest by the pool.

My wife and i stayed here as part of a wendy wu tour.( This review is no reflection of Wendy Wu) On arrival the hotel looks very elegant indeed, the gardens are beautiful and the reception is very impressive also.... but when we were shown our room we were met by peeling wallpaper, dirty stains on the wall and general dated decor. We were shown another room and yet still were met with same sub-standard decor and only on being shown the third and final room were we satisfied. The dinner im afraid to say was also slightly disappointing, it is billed as silver service fine dining but it just does not live up to the name. I must stress that the staff are perfectly lovely and very helpful indeed.

We spent 3 nights in this beautiful hotel. It feels like a small city in the city Mandalay... perfect hideout from city life. Calm area easy access to city center. You can see beautiful mountains right from the window. The food was delicious and the staff was absolutely awesome. We absolutely recommend this accommodation if you want to stay in Mandalay!

This is a large modern hotel on the outskirts of town. Our room was OK but very dark. The bathroom was large but strangely though out. The style was wet-room style but the they'd stuck a vivid blue bath in in a random position.||Breakfast was somewhat disorganised. The staff didn't seam that interested or know what they were supposed to be doing.||Could be much better with better managment

Stay here for 2 nights. The only pros I can give is the location and good spread of breakfast..and of course the usual good hospitality from people of Burma.||||Cons- ||1) the rooms look quite dated, I feel the design , dressing table is quite weird.||2) the toilet where all of us complaint about..the design. Some of us actually flooded the bathroom and the water pressure is very low. when we tried to sit inside the bathtub to shower, prevent the water from sipping out.||||Do not think I will return to this hotel if am ever in Mandalay.

A lovely hotel with very friendly staff. The rooms appeared beautiful, though we wondered at the quality of the workmanship when the waste pipe from the basin came adrift and flooded the bathroom. Staff appeared rapidly and fixed the fault and cleaned up the mess, bringing us new towels.|The pool was lovely, though the surrounds were a bit dirty, partly due to the building work that was going on.|On my first visit, I asked the bar for a G&T. 45 minutes later I returned to my room with no gin. I couldn't find the lad I asked for the drink, and didn't like to go into the bar dripping wet to find out what had happened. The next afternoon a gin arrived withing minutes of being ordered.|The lifts have a mind of their own. The doors sometimes close within seconds of opening, at other times you're left standing for ages. Although they wouldn't hurt you, they could easily give you a shock.

Was there at the property during my trip to Mandalay, personally did not enjoy the property. Well the location is not very great as the view from the wasn't pleasing, could see empty plot with some huts from my window. Even the bed to sleep was soo stiff, felt like sleeping on a bedrock during stone age time. Bathroom too had drainage problem in shower area, very weirdly made to drain water...Food very average but staff were nice with hospitality.
