Hotel Siemsens Gaard

An excellent location , we had a room that overlooked the harbour .|While the room was small ( by North American standards ) is was more than adequate for a couple. Very clean with crisp linens and towels . Plenty of warm water for showering and I loved the amenities in the bathroom. Housekeeping refreshed the room each day . A very short walk to the on-site restaurant. A good breakfast buffet with a good choice of various items. Nice cloth napkins, dishes and cutlery. Easy walking distance to a variety of shops .|While there in April I could see where in the warmer months it would be lovely to sit in the outside terrace overlooking the harbour.

If it were possible to give this place more than 5 Stars I would do that. My family and I were visiting the island for a vacation and we had the pleasure of spending several nights at the hotel. The rooms were gorgeous, the beds were some of the best I've ever slept on, and the view of the sea is to die for. We were a large group and had a lot of our meals at the restaurant and you will not find anyplace with better service and cuisine on the island, or for that matter anywhere. The staff were exceptional and their wine selection was the icing on the cake. I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone as a MUST VISIT. Thanks for the memories, and we will 100% be back.

There is something about sleeping with open windows and being woken up by the sound of waves. Now add on high-thread cotton covers and a great mattress, and you've got yourself a perfect reason to stay in bed until you feel bad about not spending your few days on Bornholm. We stayed two nights at Hotel Siemsens Gaard had it not been for their delicious breakfast, we would probably have stayed in bed. On our second day, we were recommended to try to go for a swim at the Svaneke Badeklub. We were provided with a thick bathrobe and a key and had a great swim and sauna morning. The hotel offers what I'd consider minimalistic luxury and pairs it with a service level that matches that of a 5-star hotel. As a former concierge at the Marriott, I understand high service when exposed to it, and the management at Hotel Siemsens Gaard understands that without staff that has a passion for service, you miss the human touch. We look forward to our next visit to Hotel Siemsens Gaard, both for their fantastic rooms and amenities and mostly for their unique ability to make what we thought was an ordinary stay into a memorable experience.

We had an absolutely amazing weekend stay. It’s hard to explain how a place and it’s people can make a room feel like a home. However this was our experience of Hotel Siemsens Gaard. From check in to check out we felt welcome and taken care of. The management event had the kind gesture of letting us know (by note) that the hotel had a wedding that evening. They provided earplugs, food and cake to compensate for any noise, yet we heard nothing and slept gracefully. We will be back.

Stayed here twice. The rooms are wellkept but not modern. The terraced rooms were very nice w a small patio outside facing a green area. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful, wonderful and attentive staff. The restaurant is also very good with generous portions and a mix of traditional danish cuisine as well as traditional European. A good choice for accommodation as well as eating your lunch.

Wonderful location at the port of Svaneke. The hotel buildings surround a large rose garden, with places to rest, and enjoy the view of the port and sea. The rooms are clean and nice, though not luxurious. The breakfast buffet (which is good) is served in the nice restaurant.

Totally overpriced room facing directly into a wall. Breakfast below average. We paid 1105DKK for something worth 500DKK. Mainly people from the older generation staying there. Place lacks atmosphere and innovation. We only stayed here due to rain hitting us on our biking trip.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant served fantastic Danish dishes. Staff were accommodating to those who had different dietary restrictions.
