Objectively there is no way that this hotel is a 4 star establishment.|It is basic and well run , but no more.||However…. There is an ambience about the hotel that adds up to much much more.|We were delighted with it as for 3 nights it was our longest stay on tour and it was great.||Everything they do and offer they do really well.|Our room was bright and spacious with a lovely big bed and modern, very cool ,air conditioning.|Wi-Fi was good although they did have to reset the router one morning.|Safe , hairdryer and balcony seating area.|Bathroom does the job, although a bit basic and hot water is intermittent.|The odd issue with insects ( expected) and our very own Gekko in room .||Location is ideal, at one end of Charles Darwin avenue 10 mins walk from harbour.|There is a restaurant ( unconnected) next door that offers guests ten per cent discount, but we found the service there poor.||Much, much better was El Muelle 2 doors further down with lightning service , bright , airy and spacious, happy hour ( 2 for 1 ) all day, ice cold cocktails and Tuna steaks ( served rare to order ) to die for.||Breakfast in the hotel followed same pattern, simple ingredients, cheese , toast, fruit with some hot options including bacon with eggs and omelettes cooked to order.Simple but very tasty , and lovely when eaten overlooking the pool area.||Lovely hot strong coffee and cold juices .||The pool space , again small , was perfectly used with a well kept garden , seating area and very clean pool.||It was a wonderful stay and a great base to explore Santa Cruz and bring our tour to a fitting end.||Highly recommended.|It

The hotel staff is very friendly and exceeded our expectations. We are three generations traveling together and everyone was happy. Clean and comfortable rooms. Nice pool area. We even ate dinner by pool from 1835 one night and staff provided insect repellent. Good location. New Years festivities were fun.

Lovely little hotel. Very clean. A lovely little pool too. Good breakfast. There is a bar next door and they were happy to bring lunch in for sure and possibly dinner. Easy walk to the little port. The fish market is very close and fun to see sea lions, pelicans and iguanas trying to get the fish

What an amazing quaint hotel in the center of town! Jorge, the manager, is incredibly friendly and speaks both English and Spanish. The hotel surprised us with our room decorated for our honeymoon with local flowers and chocolates! Also, each room has a personal bottle of clean water by the sinks for brushing teeth (changed daily) and a huge water jug in the lobby to refill your personal water bottles. |Minutes away from the Darwin museum and ALL shops, restaurants, and the harbor. |The breakfast included was delicious!|Jorge and all the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was incredible!|Definitely recommend this hotel!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Great location close to all of the many shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. The courtyard arrangement means rooms look in on a lovely pool and patio area with paths and bridge to the different rooms and floors. Small reception is just enough. Room was clean and smart. Simple but with modern bathroom and good rain shower. Good storage and safe. Air con system very good plus ceiling fan. Comfy bed and a good sleep. A cockerel next door would do its morning “cock a doodle doo” though from around 5 which wasn’t always amusing but my ear plugs helped. No tv in room but not fussed. Breakfast room just off reception was smart and continental selection was enough to give you a good start. Staff helpful and friendly. Place has lots of character. Excellent.

This is the worst place we’ve ever stayed. Exoticca placed us here as a “Superior” resort we paid EXTRA money for. Complete joke! | No hot water in the sink or shower. Brown toilet water. Room smelled like a sewer. Then before we demanded Exoticca to move us to a livable hotel, there was NO water at all. |Dirty!! Bathrooms and floors need total scrub down. Totally out dated. They give you a pitcher of water in the bathroom to brush your teeth with. Ours had black things floating in it. Nasty! |WiFi wont work in rooms at all. Don’t waste your money with this place or Exoticca travel- you will regret both!! FYI- Exoticca made us stay in this hell hole for two of the four days. Only moving us on day 3. Be wise people- never use this hotel or Exoticca.

The hotel needs a lot of upgrades and maintenance. However, the staff were very friendly and provided amazing service. The staff were able to accomodate our needs to serve breakfast earlier when we had to leave for our tours. Also, we had a celiac person in our group and the staff made sure she always had something to eat.
