I had a rough time at this place to be honest. I really think that management need to invest in staff training as there were issues by staff that could of easily been avoided. Firstly when I checked in an hour early the receptionist just says do you want to pay for an early check in? I was a little taken a back by this as it has happened at other Motels with no issue. I felt all she needed to say was your room isn't ready yet and offered suggestions of where to get a drink or toldw to relax in the foyer. Thankfully then my room was ready. So I went out for dinner on Christmas day and upon returning tried to use my key for my room and it wouldn't work. I went down to reception and the guy there cut me another key so I went back up and the key didn't work again. Back down again I went, another key cut and then back up to my room and the key didn't work again! This time I called reception and told them. The man came up and said he had cut a key for the wrong room! This was so annoying as it could have been sorted straight away with some simple clarification! No one likes waiting in hotel corridors late at night after dining at a lovely restaurant...and on Christmas day. The following day after packing up I go to use the lift and that is also broken. On a practical level the rooms could be improved; -The bathroom had no shelving to put any toiletries and neither did the shower -The room had no air con and I could not open a window so it was really stuffy Unfortunately I would not stay here again.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Silky in Lyon. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and genuinely helpful, and the housekeeping team were just as warm and efficient. The breakfast was excellent, fresh and high quality and a great way to start each day. The location couldn’t be better, with easy access to Lyon’s beautiful streets, cafés and attractions. I highly recommend Hotel Silky for anyone visiting this stunning city.

Unfortunately this hotel was very mixed bag. ||The first room I had was dark and narrow, with an all night running toilet flush, an AC set way too cold and hardly any space to walk around the bed, ran down and dirty. The second room was airy, bright, spacious nd everything worked fine. ||Same for breakfast. Once we had a very helpful staff, making the tiny basement felt very inviting while on other mornings there was no staff at all - or just chatting away. ||One day the staircase was blocked by laundry so lucky us there was no fire or anything to get out quickly.

Lorilynn was such a treat! Her customer service skills were great. She was very helpful at check in and check out. (The whole staff was great too) The rooms were clean and the views were beautiful. We would definitely stay here again

This quint little hotel is in the middle of the city where most of the attractions and many restaurants are of walking distance. Very convenient. Our hotel room is one of the bigger size rooms to accommodate our child. It has air conditioning and was working very well for an August stay. The room is very clean and bathroom is well stocked with cleaning amenities. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating; we even got free breakfast because our check in was delayed due to cleaning volume that day. It was not a problem because we left our luggage with the front desk and explored the neighborhood because the hotel is so well located. Overall, it was a very good experience at this hotel. Will stay again if we come back to Lyon.

The location and staff are what make this hotel! The rooms are modern and clean. We had a wonderful experience with all of the staff who went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and cared for while staying at the hotel. They recommended great restaurants too. It's an excellent location in the heart of Lyon!

Our stay at Hotel Silky in Lyon was wonderful. The location of the hotel could not be better. Situated on the Presque’Ile, guests have great access to Lyon’s fabulous restaurants, cafes, and shops. The staff is extremely kind and helpful, and the rooms are very quiet. We would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
I stayed there during the recent French strike. Despite the very difficult travel situation they went out of their way to help me arrange alternative routes. The room and bathroom were large and quite modern and clean I would come back to stay again

Yelp
This was a very nice boutique hotel. The service was above and beyond expectation. The guy at the front desk remembered my friend and my names. They gave me a free toothbrush when I stupidly forgot mine. The breakfast was pretty good including a few very nice flourishes like speculoos crumble for yogurt. There was an aperitivo from 6-8pm with free wine, baguette, cheese or salami, pickles, and tomatoes. I would definitely return.

Yelp
All around great service. Perfect location in Lyon. Situated above multiple cafe/restaurants and within walking distance to many galleries and sights. Rooms were larger than expected for France standards and had lovely windows that opened up to the street activity below. Nice breakfast and a delightful happy hour with wines, cheeses, and charcuterie in the lobby. Would definitely stay again when in Lyon.

Yelp
Check in was good and the ladies at the front desk were lovely and helpful. The room- big- but where's the furniture? Barely a closet for 3 items and no place to put anything out other than a desk- I think it's a desk and tiny little tables next to the bed. Really? Come on- throw some furniture in the room. Location is great - I'll give you that- but at my age - I want a bathroom with amenities and space to out my stuff. This is like a kids room. Nothing in it so no one gets hurt. Disappointed to say the least
