The location really can’t get much better. I took a group of people to Seville in June and we stayed here for several nights. The hotel is simple but clean and nice, with a traditional Spanish feel. There are several floors and an elevator. Air conditioning and WiFi were good. Staff were wonderfully helpful. I would absolutely stay again.

You can read some of the other reviews about the beauty and history of this hotel. It was my favorite stay in Andalucía and we visited quite a few towns and villages and booked an airbnb in the country. We stayed here during Holy Week with crazy crowded processions including very loud music that were very near the hotel. Nonetheless, it was a quiet, peaceful, oasis with charming staff at a very reasonable price. It is basically in the shadow of the Seville Cathedral and steps from all the other stunning beauty of Seville. Too many restaurants and small cafes to choose from! I’ve travelled a lot so I’m not saying this out of ignorance. Take what the reviewers on Google say with the knowledge that people want wildly different experiences. That said, I will never understand why people go to ancient cities with cafes on every corner and are upset when they don’t get fluffy towels, bathrobes, toiletries, a minibar and a breakfast that could feed thousands. The Hotel Simón had the most beautiful breakfast room I’ve ever seen. Our room was huge. I wanted to move in!

Very belated review of Hotel Simon visited June/July 2024. Highly recommended. Great value. On entering there is an antique steel gate and a set of wooden doors that open into a beautiful Spanish courtyard which is bright and airy with light streaming down from the rooftop windows, with a central fountain, plants, and comfy chairs. I understood it to be a historical Spanish home passed down through the ages. Lots of Art and decorative antiques. Location was unbeatable right next to the Seville Cathedral and the Real Alcazar, yet quiet once in the hotel. Easy walking to a lot of attractions and restaurants. The reception staff were excellent and provided great service Juan in the evenings, gave me great restaurant suggestions and Carolina in the day was helpful too. The breakfast is included and I thought was ok, freshly squeezed orange juice was amazing, breads and pastries, cold cuts and cheese, the Spanish egg and potato dish, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, it could get repetitive if staying longer. Due to my disability they upgraded me to a huge double room on the ground floor, I thought I might hear the road noise, as the windows were looking out onto the sidewalk, but they have these wooden window shutters that you can close at night to keep the light and noise out. The room had a walk in shower, a closet, a desk and a sofa. No safe. While I was there they were refurbishing the hotel, so am sure it is even better now. Rooms cleaned daily and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Would definitely visit again.

Stayed for 4 nights in March 2025. Quite basic but exceptionally clean and a lovely reception area with fountain. Breakfast was 12 euros which was great value. Lovely little balcony overlooking the street. Felt like I was in a historical building and definitely not premier inn vibes. No tv in room but that expected. Great value all round and very polite staff.

The hotel is quaint and the room is very nice. Very clean. No fridge or microwave in room, but in reception. EXCELLENT location. Staff are nice. My only complaint is I accidentally booked twice. (5 night stay) both paid in full. They would not even allow a partial reservation cancellation. I understand the day of arrival, and even the day after that. However they are booked solid and there is no reason they could not release me from the last 3 nights (Fri, Sat, Sun). But they would not. So I have 2 rooms/room keys. Other than that, I would recommend.

A great hotel close to the cathedral! We loved staying in this historic building. It is updated, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a great way to start the day.

We booked a 2 night stay. The room we got for the first night had a horrific smell. The room had an extreme smell of mold/garbage and the air conditioning didn't work. The hotel didn't have any other rooms, so we were stuck. My wife and I did not sleep at all the first night that we were there. The staff checked out the issues, confirmed the smell/broken AC, and moved us to a different room in the second night, which did not smell and had working AC. I would not recommend this hotel based on our stay. We lost a full night of sleep because of how bad the first room was. The second room was okay, but the fact that they knowingly put us in a nauseating room with no AC for the first night speaks volumes. I feel like I was ripped off after paying for 2 nights, but only being able to sleep for the second night.

Location of hotel cannot be faulted - 5 mins to anywhere in old Seville - Hotel is decent but could really be updated (facilities) - very clean and the staff were also lovely and multi-lingual. Room was tiny but comfortable -Shower fittings domestic. Tiny shower in toilet - all acceptable 20 years ago but now looking very dated. However, if you're only in Seville for 1N and just need a bed to sleep I would recomment. Breakfast average altough fresh. Acutal hotel building is lovely and historic. Wouldn't stay for more than 2N I think.

Yelp
Hotel Simon was a great hotel and good value for the money. It's got a shabbiness to it that is both dated and full of character - and we loved it. Our room was large and clean, and outfitted with antique furniture. It was simple - no TV, one long shared pillow for the bed, and plain, light bedding. The shower had low water pressure, but the bathroom itself was beautiful, clean and large. The location couldn't have been better. Footsteps away from the Cathedral and Alcazar. The staff was helpful and nice when we needed them. All in all, a great experience.
