Very belated review of Hotel Simon visited June/July 2024. Highly recommended. Great value. On entering there is an antique steel gate and a set of wooden doors that open into a beautiful Spanish courtyard which is bright and airy with light streaming down from the rooftop windows, with a central fountain, plants, and comfy chairs. I understood it to be a historical Spanish home passed down through the ages. Lots of Art and decorative antiques. Location was unbeatable right next to the Seville Cathedral and the Real Alcazar, yet quiet once in the hotel. Easy walking to a lot of attractions and restaurants. The reception staff were excellent and provided great service Juan in the evenings, gave me great restaurant suggestions and Carolina in the day was helpful too. The breakfast is included and I thought was ok, freshly squeezed orange juice was amazing, breads and pastries, cold cuts and cheese, the Spanish egg and potato dish, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, it could get repetitive if staying longer. Due to my disability they upgraded me to a huge double room on the ground floor, I thought I might hear the road noise, as the windows were looking out onto the sidewalk, but they have these wooden window shutters that you can close at night to keep the light and noise out. The room had a walk in shower, a closet, a desk and a sofa. No safe. While I was there they were refurbishing the hotel, so am sure it is even better now. Rooms cleaned daily and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Would definitely visit again.
