We stayed for only one night. The room was attractive, the bed was comfortable, and the staff we met were very nice, but overall our experience was mixed. Firstly, the TV screen cannot be turned off; it has a kind of screen saver image that remains on and emits a low light into the room (my guess: equivalent to a 15-watt bulb). Some people might like having a night light on, but for people who like absolute darkness while sleeping, it's annoying. (By the time we figured out that this was a problem it was 10pm, and the front desk staff had left. We could have called them for help, but decided it would be too much trouble for them, and draped a duvet over the screen.) Secondly, although the hotel is on a side street, it is only a few feet from a busy road, and the road noise is intrusive. That bothered me, even with earplugs, although my husband can sleep through anything. In retrospect, I should have asked for a roof that faced away from the street, and I should have asked how to turn off the TV screen image when we were shown the room, so these were my faults. Lastly, the tub and sinks were in the room (i.e., not in a separate bathroom). I know some people like that, but it's not our taste.
