"Behind an unassuming façade in Bordeaux’s Gambetta district, Hôtel Singulier reveals a world of only eight rooms and suites, plus a private apartment. Interiors balance romance and modernity: crown moldings and parquet floors offset by velvet headboards, wicker wardrobes, and sculptural lighting, much of it crafted by local artisans. Each room has its own character, from freestanding bathtubs to marble-clad showers, while the Audacieuse suite surveys the rooftops. A leafy courtyard and rooftop terrace complete the sense of a private, hidden escape." - Tablet Hotels

I was not a 100 percent sure of what to expect and was delighted by what I found. This charming owner operated ( husband & wife) hotel was the perfect way to begin our trip. The room was exactly as pictured and the bed was comfortable and the room was cool on a hot day. We stayed in room 20 ( only a bathtub no standing shower) The roof top deck is tiny but sweet and a wonderful spot to enjoy a drink or a well curated breakfast. It was walking distance to everything we needed. The best part of our stay was the owner Francois and the care he took to ensure our stay was perfect. He went out of way for us. For that we are truly grateful. I would stay here again and again.

A very comfortable, cozy and elegant hotel in the very centre of Bordeaux, five minutes from the cathedral. Warm and silent, and the staff is really kind. Definitely a good choice for staying in town and enjoying its atmosphere. Didn't have time to use the SPA so another reason to return

Last week, I accidentally booked a night at this hotel for the same day and immediately called to say it was meant to be for later in the year. I was told as I was within the cancellation policy of 24 hours there was nothing they could do. Whilst I appreciate that a refund might not have been possible and there was no expectation for them to do anything, as it was my mistake, it would have been great customer service to offer to move my booking to the date in September when I had meant to book it for. I could see a couple of rooms free when I booked, so anyone else who might have wanted a room for the same day, would also have been able to get one, and it was an honest mistake.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Hôtel Singulier during my 3 day trip to Bordeaux. The staff went above and beyond to make my experience unforgettable, showing genuine care and thoughtfulness that made my special occasion even more remarkable. The hotel itself is stunning – stylish, intimate, and impeccably maintained. My room was both luxurious and cozy, with every detail designed to make guests feel at ease. The location is ideal for exploring Bordeaux, with many attractions just a short walk away. What stood out the most was the exceptional hospitality. The team’s warmth and attention to detail made me feel so celebrated and valued as a guest. Their efforts truly elevated my trip and left me with beautiful memories I’ll cherish. I can’t recommend Hôtel Singulier enough – it’s perfect for anyone looking for a luxurious and heartfelt experience in Bordeaux. I can’t wait to return!

Great location, clean rooms, helpful staff - an ideal location for a few days exploring Bordeaux. The ground floor room we booked is a bit on the small side, but exactly as advertised on their website

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary by going to Bordeaux and we selected Hotel Singulier because my brother recommended it after staying there in Oct 2023. From the moment we arrived, everyone was so friendly and helpful to make our stay wonderful! The rooms were a nice size with high ceilings, large windows and plenty of space for our luggage. We stayed in a Junior suite and the amenities were luxurious. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was heavenly because it was so comfortable. It was very quiet at night and we enjoyed the homemade breakfast every morning in our room. I would recommend paying for the breakfast because all of the food was scrumptious and we definitely felt pampered every morning. We had homemade pastries, granola , yogurt, fruit and eggs anyway, we preferred . Not to mention, we love the lattes too. They also have a roof top terrace, looking out over the beautiful city of Bordeaux, that we got to enjoy with a nice bottle of champagne that we were able to purchase from the in room mini bar. The hotel is not large and only accommodates around 7 rooms which made our stay so wonderful. We were there 4 nights and honestly could have stayed longer if we had more time. The attention to details that everyone put into our stay were impeccable. They bent over backwards to help us in anyway. They were able to recommend restaurants and helped secure a driver and taxis when needed. They let you know they are at your complete assistance to make your stay wonderful. Thank you Audrey, Auriane and Bryan for making our stay so fabulous! All of you were very professional, but very warm and kind to us during our stay. We would without a doubt recommend Hotel Singulier to friends and family. Lastly, they have a wonderful new spa that we took advantage of during our stay. We would recommend it too. Sicily did a fantastic job helping us relax and enjoy the treatments. (A facial and massage) Our stay at Hotel Singulier will not soon be forgotten. It is a phenomenal place to stay because its so chic, but the people that work there are the heart of the hotel! Merci beaucoup Audrey, Auriane and Bryan!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights, paying €400, and unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations or justify the price. Upon booking, we were asked to cancel our reservation on Booking.com and rebook directly with the hotel, which was inconvenient and time-consuming. When we arrived, we found that the radiator in our room wasn’t working, and despite requesting it to be fixed, nothing was done, nor were we updated. This meant our towels stayed damp after use, which was uncomfortable. For a four-star spa hotel, we also expected small luxury touches like body cream or a vanity kit, but these were missing, which is disappointing when you’re paying extra for what should be a premium experience. On the positive side, the staff were friendly, the location was good, the bedding was soft, and the bed was very comfortable. However, these positives don’t make up for the lack of attention to detail and the service issues. Overall, this hotel didn’t feel worth the €400 we spent. In comparison, other boutique hotels we’ve stayed at for similar prices provide far better service and thoughtful extras that elevate the stay. Sadly, we left feeling underwhelmed and wouldn’t return.

This small boutique hotel provides incredible service to the guest. The breakfast is a limited menu that will be tailored to your preferences. The staff is incredibly friendly and provided restaurant recommendations and assistance with reservations daily. The room is comfortable and well appointed although there are not enough places to put things in the bathroom area. Be aware there is no elevator making the roof top deck not as accessible as we had hoped.
