If you’re seeking a base in Sisimiut that offers the best locally sourced food, authentic local experiences, and easy access to the Arctic terrain, Hotel Sisimiut is outstanding. Their boat transfer/ hiking combo was an incredible experience, as well as the ATV tour we got. The friendliest staff that gave us a memorable taste of Greenlandic hospitality. I’d gladly stay again ♥️

Wonderful hotel in Sisimiut, the first hotel when you come off the Arctic Circle Trail (coming from Kangerlussuaq). They have great hiker deals; and if you plan to hike from Sisimiut to Kangerlussuaq and want to buy gas canisters, check out first their box 'from guest to guest' with gas cannisters. There were many full/almost full canisters! The staff (reception and restaurant) are fabulous: very helpful and friendly, and they truly make a difference. The rooms were very comfortable (with bath products from Rituals and shoe dryers - 2 things I truly appreciated after the ACT). The breakfast buffet was great and dinner was always delicious. Despite the restaurant sometimes being quite full, there was never a wait. Loved our stay ❤️

Having the arduous Artic Circle Trail over 8 days, I couldn’t have hoped for a better hotel. It’s super warm, comfortable and spacious, with an amazing restaurant attached. The staff at reception, in the restaurant and those who attend to the rooms were all most friendly and helpful. There’s ample space in the lobby and restaurant to reflect, with 2 supermarkets only a few minutes walk away. Although we had one of our 4 nights booked in another nearby hotel (SOMA), we switched all our nights to Hotel Sisimiut, as the other looked very busy with cruise ship passengers staying there. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Hotel:|Hotel Sisimiut and Tours is amazing. After hiking the Arctic Circle Trail, we spontanious booked a night for the five of us and we felt more than welcome. The rooms were great, nothing too fancy, but clean and everything you need after a long hike. The lobby gives you a warm welcome and the staff is friendly and helpful. Everything has been taken care of: We could drop our empty gas bottles and our trash and we could get our clothes washed. Even the Sauna and the Hot Tub were included in the room price. Due to our cancelled flight we were stranded two more days and they picked us up from the airport and managed rooms again. Simply Amazing. Thank you, we definitively recommend you. There is a little nice Souvenir Shop in the Lobby with good products.||Tours:|We wanted to go on a SeaSafari Tour and Hotel Sisimiut and Tours organised a Trip besides the normal operating days for us (They do if your 5+ people). Caroline, working for them, was our Tour Guide and did an amazing job organising everything and with her bright smile she infected us all with a smiling face. She drove us to the port and we could go on board of Mira, one of their boats. Unfortunately, I don‘t remember the name of the captain, but he was very friendly and had good instinct and a very sharp eye finding the humpback whales in the fjord so we ended up with an amazing cruise and were very lucky to see three humpback whales right in front of us. The whole crew was very kind, cooperative and uncomplicated. It was worth every penny.

Nice hotel with a motel feel, great staff, and offers a variety of fun adventures and everything you need is at walking distance. If you head there, confirm that your breakfast is included as I wasn't told this at the front desk when checking in otherwise I was well served.

Be careful to avoid getting a room on the North side: the restaurant has a machine running that creates turbine like noises at various speeds of revolution plus a high pitched whine. As there were no other single rooms available, and an upgrade was not offered, there was no way to escape it, driving me crazy.|What makes it worse is that it is a known problem and nothing is done about it. Be warned.

Looking for a great hotel in town? Check out Hotel Sisimiut! It's clean and straightforward, with a decent restaurant and tour booking options. However, be cautious with their dog sled tours. We had a rough experience with the local guide they chose - the dogs were out of control, and one dog bit off another dog's ear before we even started the tour. They kept the dog on and it bled the entire time, and there appeared to be no concern at all for the dog. I know I am looking through my own lens, but this completely ruined my experience, and I have done dog sled tours in Svalbard, Finland, Alaska and another one in Greenland (which was a totally different experience, and amazing overall). I wish I did better research on the tours, so beware.
