Hótel Skógafoss

We had one room with kitchen in the guest house. Excellent location as Skogafoss Falls was just behind the guest house and at walk-able distance. It has washer and towel dryer which can be used as dryer. |Kitchen was of good size and stoked with utensils enough for three people. Only complaint is the wash basin in the washroom is very small where as there is enough space for a bigger washbasin of standard size.

Hótel Skógagoss is an absolute gem. The rooms are spacious and cozy. The location is a wonderful spot for hiking and waterfalls. And the staff is kind, attentive, and extremely helpful. It was a perfect place to relax after our multi day hike.

We did not stay there but had an excellent meal - the local fish was delicious. Not too saucy and accompanied by simple vegetables. Just go local here. It is 10x better than in Rekjavik. Ribs were good but more classic. We should have tried the lamb next time

Our stay here was okay, mostly thanks to the great location right next to Skogafoss. It was great to be able to visit the waterfall first thing in the morning. That said, the room had a noticeable sewer smell, and the water pressure and temperature in the shower left a lot to be desired. While the room was clean, the overall experience could have been better.

We were staying at a nearby hotel and came to see the waterfall, and were happy to find a restaurant next to it. It was crowded which we took to be a good sign.|Anna took us to a table right away, and explained the menu well. We ordered the potato leek soup which is on their lunch menu daily, and was soup- of- the- day for dinner. It was delicious and a decent sized serving. We also had the vegan risotto entree which was also excellent. Anna’s service was prompt and efficient without rushing us. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Very pleasant stay and top notch service. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy. The staff were very quick to assist and very flexible with our requests. Really amazing! The location is right at skogafoss which is really convenient, though the view of the room facing the fall cannot really see the waterfall.

Great room and the bunkbed was the highlight of my kid's holiday. The breakfast was great and the staff was fantastic and attentive. The location was just a 2 mins walk from the waterfall so basically amazing. Overall, a wonderful place to stay for a night.

This hotel is fantastic- very small room but totally fine. So close to waterfall- great hike- 5 min drive is a great glacier. Breakfast is also so good, very worth it. Food at the restaurant was great.. eye wateringly expensive but that’s just Iceland- all the food is expensive. I’d absolutely stay here again and will recommend it to friends.
