Hotel Slamič Ljubljana

Great location, short walk from city centre and with restaurants and bars very close by. Good comfortable clean room. Excellent breakfast. Very good helpful service. Car parking very useful. Only negative (and may have been just my room) was very intermittent wifi. And a suggestion (and this maybe because I’m English, cos I I noticed it was true for all of our hotels in our Slovenia trip) was to provide a kettle and cups in the room.

A pleasant family owned hotel with excellent location in Ljubljana. The atmosphere is very welcoming and service friendly. Nice rooms with good beds and air con, and also a good breakfast. Our daughter forgot something in the room and it was all fixed withing hours with great service minded attitude, really appreciated the way this was handled. We warmly recommend this hotel!

We had a great stay at Hotel Slamič. The location is perfect – just a short walk into the city, and right across the street there’s a cool outdoor bar at the nearby hostel. Our room was clean, modern, and located in the quiet courtyard, which made for very peaceful nights. The view was just of the inner courtyard parking area, but that probably helped keep things calm and quiet. A small water kettle in the room would have been nice, though. Breakfast was decent, and it’s a real plus that you can sit out on the large terrace when the weather is good. After four nights, we did miss a bit of variety in the selection, but overall it was fine. Service was friendly and helpful throughout. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. All in all, a solid choice for exploring Ljubljana

The room is pretty nice, with great air conditioning, very nice pillows, and a very beautiful bed. The food in the hotel was pretty good, with the pancakes being among the fluffiest I've ever had. I did not like the design of the hotel, but it was overall pretty good.

The hotel itself isnt bad, but I had a very unpleasant experience with the staff to start it off. I had booked 3 nights but didn't arrive till after night 2 due to a personal conflict and even informed the hotel that I would arrive in Ljubljana early morning of my 3rd day. I arrived in the morning of my 3rd day after a 15 hour journey, but upon arriving I get told I have to wait till 3pm even though they've charged me for all 3 nights. After much arguing with them where they insist this is their standard policy and do not have any available rooms for me - I get told to contact Booking.com if I want. I called them and they thankfully agreed this was unfair to me and fixed the situation by getting me a room shortly. Very sad this had to be my experience as I didn't even expect a refund for 3 nights and even asked them not to give me one as long as I could check in when I arrive. When I checked out I paid the full 3 nights. I just expected the room I had paid for to be ready for me on arrival, and instead faced a lot of pushback from them. Will not book here again.

We stayed there on May, 2025. The place is cozy and in a great location, near everything . The room was very comfortable and sparkling clean, spacious and silent.The premises are beautifully decorated; the breakfast is complete and delicious, everything fresh and very well-done. The place is family-run and everyone is more than friendly, willing to help us in anything we need. To sum up, a great experience. I really recommend.

Beware! Very unfair owner and service! Booked a room (Booking) for my family (wife, me, 2-years old daughter) only to find out at the arrival in the evening that the booking has been cancelled! Not only that, but the owner claimed that this has been confirmed with me on the provided mobile phone! Which was a complete lie! The owner failed to show a proof that she has called my number. Then she said, the call has been forwarded to another number (!?!) and there a misterious woman confirmed the booking cancellation! When I asked her to call the number provided in the booking, immediately my phone was ringing, without call forwarding and misterious woman confirming whatever. As it was late in the evening and thanks to their mess, we were left on the street with our 2-year old daughter, she said that she will call a neighbouring hotel, for which she claimed she will get discounted price. However, the "top" offer we were given was an extremely overpriced suite apartment, presented as the only available, while at the same time on Booking there were other suitable rooms available for much lower prices.

I stayed here for three nights and the experience was beyond expectations. The room was spacious and clean, there was ample overhead lighting, and there was a refrigerator in the room which is a rare find in Europe. You have to check off what you want for breakfast and place it in a bin the night before which I at first thought was strange but it worked fairly well. The portions were bigger than what I was expecting, and the food was fresh. By far the BEST scrambled eggs in Europe. All of the members of the staff were friendly and the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the city and less than ten minutes to the main bus station; there is a train station nearby as well. They will also book an airport transfer for you. The only thing missing from this hotel is an elevator; there are stairs leading up to the front door (no ramp option) and then another flight of steps to get to reception. As a light traveler, this worked for me but for anyone traveling with a lot of luggage this may be a setback.
