Hotel Slovenska Plaža

We are a couple. We were put in this hotel because our Jet2 flight home was cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. We stayed in Villa block Oleander room 1239 for one night on half board basis.||PROs|There are absolutely none what so ever. Do not go. You will regret staying there for even one night. This ruined the end of what had been a fantastic holiday||CONs|This really was our worst nightmare and we were stuck there with many other unhappy people until we could get our flight home|It is not a 4 star hotel. Some websites state 4 star some 3 star. It's basically a holiday camp from the 1960s. It is a run down dirty and damp complex that is quite frankly ready for demolishing. Large areas around it are already boarded up and fenced off ready to be demolished at some point.|You do not feel safe. This is situated in a run down park that anyone can walk round and we witnessed people being accosted at night. It was very scary|The beds had plastic sheets on and the covers were damp to the touch. We did not sleep in the bed. |The bedroom and bathroom were dirty and damp with old rusty and damaged fixtures and fittings|The air conditioning did not work. The refrigerator did not work. Some of the plug sockets did not work. The WiFi did not work|The staff are unable to resolve any of the issues so talking to them was a complete waste of time. All the rooms are the same|The restaurant food was not edible. We had to go out and pay for our meals. We are not fussy eaters, we would be very happy with a pizza and a beer|The external areas are scruffy, very dirty with mould and damp every where |At the very least you expect to get a clean dry bed and room. You will not get this if you come here|Don't be fooled by their professional pictures. These must have been taken many years ago. It does not resemble what is there now.

We went all inclusive expecting the whole hotel to be the same however it wasn’t as everyone was on different board levels. We had one restaurant and the pool bar as all inclusive. Often in the pool bar outside there was me, my husband and the bartender. All the other bars and restaurants were out of bounds We had to get our own ice from an adjacent restaurant and there was no milk and no effort to get any was made despite us being there 10 days. Check in was chaos. Can’t check in till 1. There was 100 people waiting despite reception staff having nothing to do up till then. We expected a room with a balcony but because we hadn’t “specified” it wasnt included so we had a window only. We asked to change and pay extra but got a flat “NO.” The bedding wasn’t changed for the whole time we were there. The only things that were changed was the towels.|No kettle or tea in the room and no water. “Loungers” around the pool were deck chairs and of the 2 pools 1 was often out of service. The only thing that was decent was the food although it got repetitive. Lots of soup and cabbage. The hotel was not on the beach which was very busy but close to the centre to walk in on an evening. Sunbeds were expensive to hire. Parking on site was 10 euros a day so we found another car park near for half price as we hired a car for 3 days and visited Kotor, Tivat and nearby lakes which was amazing. Montenegro is a stunning place but the hotel was not.

DON’T. Even Consider it it’s like visiting a 1960’s holiday camp.||We were allocated this disgusting so called Hotel by Jet2 due to the cancellation of our flight from Tivat Airport because of bad weather. After spending approximately 7 hours in the Airport we did consider returning to the our holiday hotel but we were persuaded by theJet2 to accept their offer with assurances that it was a 4 star Hotel. |Whilst the reception looked fairly impressive it soon became evident that it was a holiday complex having an advertised rating of 3.5 star rating , which I would question. The accommodation was housed in rundown scruffy blocks probably built in the 1960’s. The accommodation we were allocated some 3or4 hundred metres away and therefore had to manhandle all our luggage for this distance. When we arrived at the block, as the room was on the 3rd floor, having NO lift we then had to carry our cases up the external concrete stairs |The entrance door to the room looked more like the entrance to a prison cell.|The room did have basic facilities with the exemption of Hot Water and was reasonably clean and tidy. However speaking to other passengers, this was not what they experienced stating that they were faced with dirty and damp bedding, stained towels and black mould in the bathroom. I am aware one couple refused to stay in the room which they were allocated and moved to an alternative at 10.30 pm.|During checkin we were given a card to present at the Restaurant to entitle to Dinner and Breakfast. The so called restaurant was approximately two hundred metres by way of a dark pathway. Whilst there was a fairly large selection of food , I found that so called hot food was only tepid. Our experience the following morning at breakfast was similar. As it was dark when attending the restaurant, (CANTEEN) on the evening we were unaware of the surrounding area towards the beach. The area adjacent was rundown having rubbish, discarded chairs etc, boarded up semi derelict cafes. The whole surroundings need to be demolished and cleared, this should also be extended to the Slovenska Plaza complex .|On the morning of our departure we had to again carry our luggage down the stairs and drag them back to reception which was bit of an ordeal as my partner and I are both 78 years of age.|Based on our experience this is NOT an establishment you should ever consider for a holiday as I can assure you that you will regret it. |JUST DON’T GO THERE ||Whilst this review is addressed specifically about the Slovenska Plaza complex I cannot restrain myself from mentioning JET2 for the lack of respect they have show for us as Indulgent Escape customers. Whilst I would have been satisfied with a lesser standard than the 5star accommodation we had booked for the holiday. |We would have been happy with a proper 4star HOTEL which we were assured of by their Representative.

As with other recent reviewers I stayed here for one night after a Jet2 flight was delayed by bad weather. Credit to Jet2 for arranging probably about 150 beds within very short notice, thinking there were offering their passengers a four star hotel. First impressions of the reception are good, but it ends there. The rooms are awful, dirty, tiny, damp, and mouldy. The food in the restaurant was abysmal, and most of the staff appeared grumpy and unhappy. I would not reccomend staying here if you were going on holiday to Budva.

The hotel lacks sanitation and cleanliness. Three star rooms and pool are very dirty. There is garbage everywhere, even in the pool, the rooms have a bad smell, everything is old and rusty. The rooms are not cleaned. everything on the territory of the hotel needs cleaning. A lot of the staff is completely unfriendly, some of them are even impudent and rude to guests. We asked for a kettle in our room several times because we were sick and needed boiling water in the room, and it was never brought to us. The phones in the rooms don't work, and you have to walk a long way to the reception to ask for a solution to the sanitary problems in the room. The cleaner came only three days later. Towels were never changed during our stay (7 nights). The air conditioner does not work properly. There is nowhere to dry clothes, because even windows are covered in dust... The staff in the restaurant is especially impolite. Dinner lasts from 18:00 to 21:00, but if you come at 20:10, there is little food, no hot dishes are brought, only leftovers on the tables. Waiters take food directly from people who are still having dinner, move tables, take away tablecloths and clean up, and guests dine for another hour. An unpleasant atmosphere in a restaurant under such circumstances ...

The worst experience ever! The rooms are very dirty. In 10 days, they never changed our bed linens even once! Walking past the rooms, we saw how the cleaning staff were cleaning rooms with towels that people use in the shower, which probably explains why all the towels are stained! The air conditioner was broken, and we asked them three times to fix it. The pool is a whole other story—grass is growing at the bottom! It's all slippery. For this price, you could rent an apartment in Montenegro, and it would even be cheaper. We don’t recommend this place to anyone!

This is a holiday camp style resort.||It would have been "many years ago" Mediterranean villa style holiday blocks, divided into apartments. ||Sadly now it could only be described as a run down prison camp that is fronted by a ok reception leading you to a maze of blocks aptly given "letters" so you can find yours on the map. |It is vast "upto 15mins walk to reception easily for a elderly person" from the apartments on the other side of the resort. |The lighting is dull in the evening and probably intimidating to most travellers.|It could not be classed with a star rating I would hope by any responsible agent. ||Now arriving at your mold fronted apartment you may need to carry your suitcase up a few flights of stairs to the disaster awaiting you. Try and open a door that has clearly been broken a few times in the past and you are welcomed to a filthy, rusty, old fashioned, damp cell.||I would hope you get the picture by now. ||Just avoid.
