Hotel SOA

We did not stay at the hotel; we came only to use the sauna based on a recommendation. Unfortunately, there was no relaxation room, no restroom, and no changing room. The only place to sit was a small bench in the corridor. There is a hammam, but it had a noticeable smell of mold. The sauna temperature was around 50°C. We booked two hours for two adults and two children, and this did not raise any concerns at the reception. However, without any proper place to sit or rest, it is unclear how guests are expected to spend two hours there. We managed to stay only about 30 minutes. At reception, there was some hesitation, but in the end we were charged for only one hour — thank you for that. Still, €60 for one hour of such an unpleasant experience feels expensive to me. I left feeling disappointed and somewhat misled. Going forward, I will definitely need to clarify the availability of basic facilities before booking. As a suggestion, the hotel might consider improving this area — for example, replacing the underused hammam with a simple relaxation room with a table, where guests could sit and have tea between sauna sessions.

We stayed one night whilst visiting the sights of the area and were very happy with this hotel. We were the only ones staying there so we were upgraded to the family suite. Not the biggest or most luxurious room but it was comfy, plenty of storage, bathroom was lovely, facilities amazing and staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel Soa was the perfect place to stay in Zabjlak. We had a one bedroom apartment and it was spacious clean and had daily room service. From the check in to the check out everyone was helpful and friendly. The location is convenient to everything. A short walk to town and next to the entrance for Black Lake. We ate at the restaurant three times and all the dinners were delicious and the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The breakfasts are also plentiful.

Great service, the staff is so hospitable you feel at home. The maintenance is great, the rooms are nice. The restaurant in the hotel is very good. Amazing location near the black lake. I totally recommend this hotel.

We booked a 1-bedroom suite directly with the hotel, received a clear confirmation and then they sent an email apologizing and cancelling our booking due to their error. This was after the deadline where we would have forfeited the price of one-night's stay if we had cancelled, according to their policy. They did not offer another room but we managed to get a smaller one on Bookings.com. I wrote them to explain this was not acceptable and asked for either the original room or one night free. They did not respond. During our stay, they gave us one free dinner and a bottle of wine as an apology, which was appreciated, but it wasn't really enough. Therefore, this review is a warning of this behavior. The remainder is a general review.||The hotel is tired and junior suites are small with almost no place for luggage. I'm not sure why it qualifies for "luxury".|The staff are very pleasant and helpful, at reception and in the restaurant.|The organization of breakfast needs to be improved because not everything is ready at the stated start time of 7:30. We noted 7:50 on the last day. This doesn't help when you are planning an early hike.|The location of the hotel is good and the food at the restaurant was decent.

Nice hotel right by the parks entrance. The staff is friendly and check-in process went smoothly. The morning buffet is good, but the restaurant food is overall just ok. The spa isn't that great, but the rooms are spacious. The amenities aren't the best, but if you're just looking for a place to sleep, this is great value and quiet.

Extremely disappointed. I am visiting SOA cafe regularly last 5 years or more every summer. The his time was a bad experience due to several things. 1. We waited for waiter for minimum 30+min. 2. There was no Menu. 3. Once we somehow called waiter in, we were thirsty and we ordered without a menu some drinks and coffees, and let him know to bring menu once he is back. 4. Waiter guy cane with a menu that was printed on A4 paper, with prices changed for a Montenegro National Holiday.(please see photo) 5. After I asked him to bring menu politely again, his response was: ‘I would love to have 4 hands, but unfortunately I have only 2’. If I wasn’t with the kids there and friends, would probably act different. I would recommend to avoid it during holidays. I haven’t used rooms tho, but I believe they are good. But SOA being known as a good hotel, this was extremely bad and inhumane move from them.

The water in the pool was not hot. They did not allow us to open a can that we brought with us to the lobby. The entire lobby belongs to the restaurant. There is no place to sit without purchasing something from the bar. We intended to stay for a few days but left after one night.
