When we booked this place it was called Hostal Soberanis, but in the time between that and arriving it had clearly been under renovations, hence the name change to Hotel Soberanis. Despite the name, we paid what felt like Hostal prices for Hotel service.||||Our room had 2 Queen beds, air con, fan, tv, private bathroom, was cleaned daily and was amazing value for money. Breakfast was included, but given our poor Spanish we may have missed out on getting everything that we could have. The internet was high speed and reliable, and the staff were generally helpful, except for the evening receptionist, who was not at all helpful when we asked where the nearest laundry was. There was a lot of noise in the morning from workers cleaning the halls and doing renovations, and this was quite early too.||||The location is pretty good, right next to a huge supermarket, however there are not kitchen facilities so shopping options there are limited to snacks really. It is a bit of a walk to the nearsest beach, but a cheap cab ride, 50MXN, and the ADO bus terminal is a 10 min walk away. 10 mins walk to a huge shopping complex.||||I'm not sure if the prices have increased since our booking, but this was great value for money, away from the chaos down at the beaches.
