Upon arrival the staff was very kind and helpful. The room was very clean and beautiful inside. The hotel itself was well kept, and right beside the Centro. It was a quiet time of year I suppose so we didn't run into a lot of noise. But nothing was included not even a coffee in the morning with a croissant (for $300 Canadian on a Monday night).

Horrific service. They would not let service animal in without causing an enormous hurdle. They also wouldn’t let us leave the hotel parking lot even after we verified via ID that we were hotel guests. The staff also stopped other guests at the hotel to confirm they were not using hotel hangers (which they were not). We hosted a wedding in tequila and I have never encountered such lack of professionalism in hotel staff.

Though this hotel is well-located, the rooms are nice but you can hear everything. The service is good but we had a terrible experience at the hotel restaurant. 6 out of 12 people in our group got food poisoning, and though the staff at the front desk offered to bring us a doctor, they could figure out a way to help us. You cannot tell who is charge. First and last time we visit this place.

A large group of friends and family stayed at Hotel Solar de las Animas to celebrate a birthday during Dia de los Muertos and it was a five star experience from start to finish. I have travelled around the world and stayed at some very highly rated establishments, but this place was magical. I loved the old world feel of the hotel and their staff was AMAZING, and I mean everyone. The servers, bartenders, cleaning staff, desk personnel, everyone. The gardens and courtyards were beautiful and provided plenty of opportunity to relax and unwind and the drinks and food were very good. They hosted the birthday dinner at the restaurant rooftop, complete with our own bar and the views and food were perfect. The hotel is on the main plaza in Tequila so it is central to everything, which makes almost everything walkable. Tequila is a beautiful small town with a rich history as can be seen in the almost 400 year old Church still being used today and the Jose Cuervo distillery. Thank you to Hotel Solar del las Animas. You made our stay exceptional and created beautiful memories for my family and I.

Very charming. From check-in to check-out service was fantastic. Started our first day having a pajarete and pan dulce in the cafè. And ended the day at the sky bar located on the 4th. The bar has good cocktails, icy mugs and cold beers. They also have a good selection of tequila and mezcal from the José Cuervo family. The view from the sky bar to the town plaza is IG worthy. The pool there is small and cozy. The pool on the main floor is bigger and pool side service is available. We had dinner at La Antigua Casona. And returned to the sky bar for tequila and Cuban cigars from there small but well kept humidor. The property is central to sight seeing and eateries. Lots of photo op locations with in walking distance. PS. I enjoyed so much I didn't take any pictures

This hotel is next to the main square of Tequila and a gateway to exploring the area. It is a well appointed hotel with great service offerings. It has two pools, though the pool on the ground floor does not get a lot of sun, though the adult pool on the 5th floor does. We stayed 4-nights, which was the right amount time to take in all of the things that we had planned.

Very lovely hotel in the middle of Tequila Mexico. Close to many tequila distilleries and town square so going on any tour is easy. Staff was great and most spoke English. Great restrauant also. Hotel can arrange transportation from and back to Guadalajara.
