A friend made a booked on June 7, at 6:43 pm, for June 8, 9 and 10. Shortly after, he was informed of a medical family situation and had to request cancellation. Furthermore, Booking.com submitted a cancellation fee waiver. Long story short, he canceled his booking by mistake, because he's new to Booking.com process, and the hotel manager/owner refused to reinstatement his booking or give him any refund. FYI, the room was booked for all three nights and there was no vacancy available. When Booking.com and he learned that and faced the hotel management, they offered a partial refund. What does that say about this hotel? I'll leave that to you.
But remember, unforeseen circumstances are very common and in happens to everyone. Hence, do you want to book in a hotel where the management is not willing to show any understanding?
