First of all I have to say that the stuff in this Hotel where really friendly. They spoke English and did their best to make our stay comfortable. We felt really welcome there! ||We paid 60€ for a double room what wasn't realy worth that price. First of all it was a bit uncosy. Just the basic furnitures, no decoration, even not a single picture at the wall. ||Seound thing, the bathroom door's look was broken. It happens twice that we closed the door from outside and it looked complete that we couldn't enter. The friendly stuff came direct and opened it for us. On how they did it we could see that it wasn't first time. The trick was to put a pen refill in a hole for open it. Just in case, bring one with you ;)||Also window handles was broken, but we could still use it. One bedside lamp was missing the other one not working.||A good thing was that the bed was comfortable and mattresses seam to be quite new.||But in general for that price I expect a room where nothing is broken and where someone spend minimal effort to make it a bit cosy.||The food in the restaurant was nice and fresh cooked. |||

Overnight train from St Petersburg, short bus ride and then 2 hour boat ride. |The hotel was very warm, to the extent that it was stuffy. Good sized room, reasonable bathroom with shower only. Good hot water. Budget style accommodation, 2 single beds, no block out curtains so you first wake at the crack of dawn. The TV power cord was to short to reach the power point if you wanted to leave the aerial plugged in, therefore we couldn't watch TV. No fridge, no in room safe but a kettle. |Restaurant within hotel had decent food at good prices, but breakfast was very average, no toaster.||Location was good. There isn't a lot of choice on the island.|||

had a great time with my sons staying here several days. It's family run (together with the Solovky Hotel nearby), owner and his son Maxim are doing good job catering to guests requests, just ask for assistance. Rooms and room facilities are pretty basic, though clean. Breakfast was way too simple for the room price. may come back||Anyways, there's a place for breakfast across the road

Pleasant, clean rooms. Efficient, friendly staff and good food. The food is important as there are few/no options for eating out.||The WiFi is fast and reaches to the top floor.||Just a short stroll from the monastery. Recommended.

We stayed there with a Russian group on our tour through Karelia. I would not recommend the hotel for several reasons:||- WORST BREAKFAST EVER: even if you come to breakfast early, there is not enough food available for all the guests. But don't worry, the breakfast is not worth getting up early. They have a buffet with a very bad choice, AND they do not fill up. One waitress was hanging lazy at the bar watching the empty buffet and hearing the guests complaning. Shameless behaviour. All the guests were extremly angry and started the day with a bad mood.||Our tour guide complaint seriously at the owner and it was better on the next day. ||- no double beds available (we had to push to single beds together)||- walls are very thin - we could hear our neighbours snoring||- rooms could have been cleaner||||I must admit that the lady at the reception recommended us book the Russian Banja in the closeby Solovki hotel and that was a great experience. If I had the choice, I would stay there instead.

This hotel and its staff is super. Smiling , service minded Beyond normal. Hotel is situated at an island and open mainly in summertime , guests visiting the monistary at the island. ||Rooms are so Nice and Spaces , modern Furniture etc etc. Breakfast , lunch and dinner all With fixed menu , but tasty !! I could recomend this hotel to anybody !!

I do recommend this hotel, as it is clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful, food is great, there were no mosquitoes in the room. They can organise a taxi to the Tamarin pier, 400 RUB one-way. Solovki is a wonderful place and I intend to go there every year, and I will choose this hotel to stay at.
