We wanted somewhere outside of Barcelona, and this appeared to be a good option. However the hotel is quite isolated, and you need a car to get about, as the bus system is hit and miss. There is very little choice close by to eat. The Marina and town are a bus ride away, and not picturesque. If you go up town there is a little bit of choice, but quite often they are closed, and you need to be physically fit as it involves a lot of walking up hill. The rooms are a good size, and bedding and towels are changed on a daily basis. However the rooms could do with a good deep clean. They are very dusty. Our room suffered with Ants. The staff were quick to deal with them, but they did keep coming back. The breakfasts here are fantastic, with a good choice. Even catering for gluten free guests. However, there was a constant lack of clean bowls, spoons. Not enough staff on at breakfast, and staff doing more than one job. A coffee/tea machine would have helped. The men on reception were very helpful, especially David who gave us lots of helpful information. The pool area needs a full refurbishment. Lots of Ants about. Sun beds were old, dirty and uncomfortable. Furnishings around the pool had seen better days. The views from it were lovely on most sides, but on one side the area could do with a good tidy up.
On an evening staff were very helpful, and catered to your needs as much as they could. All in all this is a nice hotel, but you need a car to get about. However, not sure I would rate it as 4 star.
