Hotel Sosei Sapporo Mgallery Collection (Sapporo, Hokkaido Prefecture) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"More and more, Sapporo is taking its place as the cultural gateway to the island of Hokkaido at large and not just the birthplace of a certain rice lager. Makes sense, then, that the former Sapporo brewery site is now a thriving entertainment and shopping destination, and that Hotel Sosei Sapporo MGallery chose to put down roots here. Inside, it’s a maximalist-chic exercise in arches, sumptuous upholstery, and subtly steampunk furnishings. Rooms and suites balance it out with an upscale spin on traditional Japanese mainstays (think wall paneling and whisper-quiet ambience). After all, “sosei” roughly translates to “revival” or “rejuvenation” — just the ticket after sampling the namesake brew." - Tablet Hotels

Hotel Sosei Sapporo is charming, the interior carries a modern lux industrial blend while the exterior is museum-like with mysterious vibes. The boutique hotel’s charm follows through from the lobby to the rooms, exacerbated by the warm hospitality of staff who greeted us sincerely all the time. The room is clean, cosy, comfortable and has all you need for a restful getaway. Breakfast served at the restaurant was delicious and had a mix of western and local cuisine (including hokkaido’s delicacies). Pricing point of view, this hotel is value for money for the boutiquey product it delivers, being closer to lux but at the expense of convenience (proximity to Sapporo station). If you are still agile, the Sapporo station is just a 12-15min walk away - convenience will not be an issue then. Will not hesitate to stay at Hotel Sosei Sapporo again. Special mention to the team who helped arranged a little special surprise for me and my wife as we celebrated our wedding anniversary during our stay in September. We booked three rooms at five nights each, total fifteen nights! Made our Hokkaido experience that extra special ♥️

Cozy room and very good services. Hotel is full of modern design and arts. Special thanks to the front desk staff named Cindy. She can speak fluent Chinese and communicate well with local staff. She helps me to settle the check in issues with passion and good communication skills. Also she takes my feedback seriously and respond to the duty manager promptly. Overall, hotel treats customers with highly respect and serve with passion. Staff are well trained and highly professional. Strongly recommend to other customers.

Hotel location is around 15 minutes walk to Sapporo station and also the Odori Park. ||The hotel has very nice lobby area and check in was processed very fast by the front desk staff. This hotel offer complimentary drink for elite member every afternoon in the hotel bar which is a very nice benefit.||The deluxe room is quite spacious for the bedroom area with large bed and lots of area to place belongings and suitcases. But, the bathroom area is small and it can feel tight when having shower.||Breakfast served in the main restaurant was very good with plenty of delicious choices from main course, pastries and drinks. The breakfast options are rotated daily so it will not to boring if staying for few nights.||Service throughout the hotel was very friendly and they responded to every request fast. Overall I was very satisfied with this stay and will come back again

Had an enjoyable stay here during our vacation. The service also good, and the staffs are all very kind and friendly including the housekeeping service. The room was very neat, clean, quite spacious and comfortable. The bathroom also quite spacious. The most exciting thing was the breakfast. They have a lot of variety starting from the bread section, japanese section, western, and the even provide hokkaido specialty like soup, curry, and even noodle. The breakfast have a rotation everyday so you will not get bored as you have a different kind of breakfast buffet for the noodle, soup, and specialty Hope you enjoy your stay there, too!

Not long ago service at a hotel was held to a higher standard. Service, cleanliness and quality were viewed with the idea that guests were being welcomed into a second home; a place of respite and serenity. While many hotels do not embody these ideals anymore, this one most certainly does. I’ve stayed in many, many hotels (some very fine ones at that), but this hotel raised the bar on them all. From the friendly and welcoming desk personnel, to the fabulous breakfast and Hawaiian lunch (I used to live in Hawaii: it’s delicious and authentic!), to the drop-dead gorgeous rooms and the housekeeping that keep them impeccably clean, this hotel doesn’t leave any room for error. Dare I say, it’s perfect. My teenage daughter was sad to leave! If you’re looking for an exquisite hotel in Sapporo this is it. We will be back! And thank you so much for such a wonderful experience.

Design: Beneath its modest exterior lies a boutique-like and breathtaking interior. The design is superb, brimming with details—every corner, even the ceiling, can become part of the scenery. Service: The staff are always warm and proactive in offering assistance. I’ve never stayed at such an amazing hotel in Sapporo before. Location: While it’s not in the main commercial district, unlike city center hotels that are often packed with restaurants and shopping streets, this location offers the ideal environment for travelers to truly relax and unwind in a holiday atmosphere. Dining: The lounge serves the hard-to-find Kaitakushi Beer, a Sapporo brew with a creamy, smooth texture and exceptional layers of malt aroma. Breakfast features many locally ingredients from Hokkaido. Though the buffet counter is not large, every dish is crafted with care and full of flavor—well worth waking up early to enjoy.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The interior of the hotel is lovely but its best asset is the staff. Everyone was warm and helpful. We plan on staying here again on our next visit to Sapporo. Our flight out of Sapporo to Tokyo was cancelled on the day we checked out due to severe weather in Tokyo. At first, our flight out was delayed. then pushed back again by two hours. Before midnight, all flights to Tokyo were cancelled. Lots of passengers were stranded at the airport. We tried booking at the hotels near the airport, some even 10 to 20 kilometers away but were already fully booked. As our last resort, we called up Hotel Sosei past midnight and explained our situation. The front desk staff was very accommodating and helpful and understanding enough to let us book a room so we can rest and plan our next move on how to get the earliest flight out because we had commitments at work back home. Nothing but praises for the wonderful staff of Hotel Sosei. They are truly wonderful.

The plain and functional exterior belies the incredibly, gorgeously moody interior of this fabulous hotel. Immediately welcomed by a delicious cool beverage and welcome gift of bath salts, the staff already set the tone of being cared for and service being the number one priority. The rooms are well appointed and cozy. Don’t expect a view but expect friendly and accommodating staff, a beautiful lounge and an incredible courtyard area when it isn’t raining. You are about a 15-25 minute walk to the major entertainment and shopping areas. Would love to return in the winter when the large roaring fire in the lounge would be amazing to chill out in front of. My only critique would be to outfit the bathroom with shaving gel if you offer razors and body wash cloths.
