Hotel Souika, Chefchaouen

🏡Awesome little hostel, comfy beds, lockers, very clean and friendly and helpful staff. Very affordable too. I met some great travellers here which is always a bonus and the rooftop offers amazing views of Chefchaouen. The thick blanket and hot shower water was greatly appreciated in the colder months! You get a clean room and great location for an extremely cheap price here. I would absolutely stay again. Just know that the kitchen is not really equipped for cooking (1 big pot, 1 small pan, very few plates and cutlery). Also there was not much of a hostel vibe when i visited, more like a hotel.

Very nice place. Checked in for only a night but a very nice spacious rooftop. The room was two single beds with fan. Cheap place to stay at. Great staff and friendly!

Bedbugs everywhere. Very cold at night. No hot water. Romantic receptionist with my gf

I stayed here for 8 days. The location is perfect! A few steps and you'll find different restaurants around the plaza. They moved me to the terrace room for ladies only with single beds which was great! I felt comfortable during my stay. They have a kitchen that can be used for cooking (for free, other hostels ask guests to pay to use the kitchen). They also have a rooftop with nice view of the sunset. Price is cheap compared to other hostels around. I'd definitely stay there again when i go back to Chefchaouen. 🇵🇭

I wanted to rate this place highly, but unfortunately, the staff experience changed my mind. I didn’t feel welcome here. The receptionist, who introduced himself as “Safi” but was also called “Mohammed” by others, tried to overcharge me. I understand this is a budget accommodation, but while others paid 60 Dirhams, he asked me to pay 65 Dirhams. Additionally, I was approached by someone who followed me and claimed he had guided me, despite me using Google Maps and not asking for any help. The receptionist insisted I pay him, which felt unnecessary and a bit strange. When shown to my room, I requested a lower bunk, which was clearly empty. However, the receptionist claimed it was occupied. Even the next day, the bed remained empty, and other hostel guests confirmed it had never been taken. This was disappointing and made me feel uncomfortable. That being said, the location is great, the rooftop is nice, and the overall setup is decent. Just a word of advice—treat your guests with honesty and respect. It makes all the difference.

The best hostel excellent service and wonderful view on top I enjoy staying there and affordable prices, and it's in the centre of the blue Pearl of Morocco I love the view and city because it's serounded with mountains nature water falls and wonderful beaches ⛱ and great nature
