Hotel Soul

We are 11 persons in a group, booked the hotel on Oct 2024 for the trip on March 2025. When we reach on that day, obviously, the hotel door is closed and under renovations. The hotel already collected almost 2k ringgit from us. And when we ask the hotel opposite, they said the hotel closed and under renovation start on Sept 2024, but they still received our booking and collect money from us. We probably will make a police report for this.

The location is very Excellent and near the Metro. Lots of restaurants and roadside stalls. There are shops that sell clothes etc. Many choices to choose from. The service is excellent staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is below average. The room is acceptable but the Air con and ventilation is really bad. You feel hot and not much air. The hotel needs to improve on this.

This hotel is very well managed:|1. The staff are very courteous and helpful.|2. The staff follows up with all enquires.|3. The rooms are clean.|4. The breakfast spread is value for money.|The services it provided us were much better than many of the more expensive n higher stars hotels in the country.||Thank you for a very pleasant stay at your hotel.

The location is great, and you are just a few minutes' walk from the pedestrian mall and the Charyuanchang metro station along line 4, which is also two stops from the main Suzhou railway station.||There are several eateries and shopping options nearby, or you can walk 30 minutes to the old Ping Jiang pedestrian walk next to the river.||The room was rather large, but also a little on the basic side. Our room on the 4th floor - in fact, the entire floor near the lift lobby - smelt of cigarette smoke, almost like a pub. Perhaps the fact that we were over the hotel's pub/nightclub was a factor.||The twin beds were comfortable, and there were ample power points, as well as a medium sized safe. The bathroom was an okay size, and water pressure was good. Wifi was rather bad, and we had some difficulty getting into the various apps. Some of the furniture needed repairs, such as the cupboard door to the safe deposit box.||Breakfast was pretty good, with a live noodle and wonton station, as well as a good array of options.

Stayed for 3D2N at this Hotel Soul Suzhou in October 2024. The hotel is just 5mins walk from Chayuanchang metro station 察院场(地铁站) via Exit 3. The exit 3 has upward escalator but no downward escalator. Therefore if you have big luggage you might need to carry it down. The reception staff allowed us to check in pretty early in the morning and given us to a lower floor room with windows at 312. Same floor with conference halls. The room is spacious but the aircon is rather warm. TV has lots of Chinese channels but no android box given. The hotel prepares disposable indoor shoes, toileteris that include toothbrushes and hair dryers. Strong water shower pressure. However the shower water tends to leak out outside of the shower area even when the shower room door was shut. This causes the whole dry area in the shower room was wet and slippery and poses hazard when using the hairdryer! The room has provided extra pillows for each bed. The beds were comfortable. The hotel is located very strategic location to metro and also to the happening street that full of eateries restaurant and even walkable to Pingjiang road that has lots of famous shops along the river. The hotel breakfast was also very yummy and offers lots of variety. I certainly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Soul Suzhou. Definitely recommend to others.

This hotel is the located at the centre of everywhere, including hotspot, metro, eat & shop. The interior design is modern, spacious & cozy. The room & toilet are big, and the breakfast is good & just like 4 stars international hotel. Recommend for first timer to Suzhou

This hotel was a big surprise. With a very reasonable price (less than $50/night), it offered the class of service I have never seen in China.||The hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off to/from the train station, and the driver was very courteous. It was an impressive service from the beginning. Checkin was fast and efficient, staff members, speaking fluent English, worked even more smoothly than those in 5 star hotels in Shanghai. The attitude of staff members was not something easily found in China--fast, ready to help, courteous, and going extra miles for guests. Very impressive. ||Location was very good, literally steps away from the busy shopping area, and about 10-15 mins car ride from main attractions. The downside was lack of simple restaurants and a convenient store nearby--it was hard to find places for a quick bite. | |Room was clean and spacious with a comfy bed--pretty good given the price tag. The hotel deco was not great for me--on the modern and hip side yet in some parts too busy--but again, considering the price, not a big deal.||Breakfast was good, though lacked diversity. But given the size of hotel that was rather understandable. ||All in all, an excellent choice, especially for casual stays. ||

They have a really good location about a five minute walk from Chayuanchang station and very central to all the sights in Suzhou. The price is also very fair and we were very happy with our stay.||The room was comfy and the bathroom was great but the rooms stayed a little warm for us and there were no windows to release the heat. The staff were very friendly, helpful and always grabbed an elevator for us when we came back to the hotel.||The hallways were well lit in an open courtyard style and there were features of the hotel which were very quirky like a spaceship themed elevator and a "French" restaurant.|The breakfast was pretty good and we had the privilege of trying the set menu and the buffet. The set menu was huge and very filling. When we arrived we also got a complimentary Margherita pizza at their hotel bar (Soul Bar).
