We stayed at Sowa for five nights. The hotel, until '45 known as Bahnhofshotel, is located within walking distance (15-20 min) of Elblag's historic city center (very nicely restored) and harbor. The neighborhood is nice, with several pre-war buildings but also modern buildings lining al. Grunwaldska to the left and right of the hotel. There are bus and streetcar stops right in front of the hotel. Several ATMs and small supermarkets are nearby. The rooms are nicely set up, very clean, and are cleaned on a daily basis. Those facing forward can be a bit noisy with windows open (no AC in the rooms) on work day mornings. Those requiring absolute darkness to sleep well at night will want to bring something to cover their eyes, The rich breakfast offers an amazing spread of great deli meats, sausages, cheeses, jellies, yoghurts, boiled eggs, salads, tomatoes, cucumbers, breads, and pastries, with coffee, tea, and juices to boot. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak at least English and German in addition to Polish. Very good hotel, thetefore highly recommended.
