BEWARE! We reserved #Hotel Genovese Bonifacio on #EXPEDIA. The ad says “RESERVE NOW - PAY LATER”. We cancelled the next day. @ HOTEL GENOVESE charged us $1900 immediately! They credited our card, but, the bank exchange rate cost over $100.

BEWARE! We reserved #Hotel Genovese Bonifacio on @EXPEDIA.CA. The advertising displays the reservation as “RESERVE NOW / PAY LATER”. We cancelled the next day HOWEVER @ HOTEL GENOVESE Bonifacio charged our credit card almost $2,000.00 immediately! The hotel finally credited our card, however, the bank’s exchange rate cost us over $100.00. VERY DECEIVING … Other hotel booking websites advertise PAY LATER and are in fact PAY LATER!

We had a spectacular luxury suite in the annex building on the harbor. We drove to the main building to check in and then followed a lead vehicle to the annex. We had our own private parking spot. Our suite was up a few flights of stairs and had two small terraces with terrific views of the harbor. The room was spacious and spotless. The location was perfect for walking along the harbor with many shops and restaurants and easy access to the stairway up to the citadel. I cannot think of a better place to stay in Bonifacio!

Very nice hotel and spa. My wife and I came to Corsica for the day originally and decided to stay because it was amazing! I was surprised they offered a 1 night option and was pleasantly surprised they could accommodate a same day reservation (although we did visit out of season). This hotel is not a cheap option but if your budget allows it’s a great option - offering great quality rooms and service as well as spa/pool access in a really great location.

Beautiful hotel in the old city. The rooms were large enough, and efficiently laid out with much storage. The sauna, hammam, and pool were truly lovely. A perfect stay in the old city, not to be missed. Dinner and breakfast were likewise excellent. We also want to call out our night watchman Andre, who graciously made us coffee and snacks for a 5:30am departure on our last day.

This time we stayed at the family apartment that the hotel has by the marina. It’s quite cute, right next to the luxury yachts moored in Bonifacio. You can however spend the whole day by the hotel pool if you like, or enjoy the hotel spa that also has an indoor swimming pool and a sauna. There’s massage, reflexology, manicure, pedicure. The staff overall were very kind and friendly. If you’re staying at the family apartment, you can also request room service and have the breakfast in the room (to avoid driving/hiking up the hill). I didn’t visit, but I did see an amazing bakery a few doors down, as well as a superb fruit and veg shop, as an alternative.

The hotel is at the entrance to the old city, so walking into the old town and even down to the port is easy. There's a long flight of stairs down to the lobby from the parking lot. Our room faced the water, which was great, but we had a lot of trouble with the locking/unlocking system in our room. The breakfast buffet was excellent, including freshly prepared eggs. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Stayed two nights in this boutique hotel, that is located on a beautiful spot overlooking the harbour. Comfortable and very clean room and kind staff at the front desk and the breakfast buffet. Definitely recommended. One downside: in the afternoon it’s not possible to order bites at the pool like calamari or other ‘at the pool-food’ because the kitchen is closed.
