Hotel Spitzhorn

My wife and I had a wonderful four day stay at the Splitzhorn in Saanen to participate in a friend's family wedding. The hotel displays 3 stars but really it could be five! The quality of the rooms, the delicious meals in the hotel restaurant and many hours enjoying the spa made the stay one of the finest. We would highly recommend the Splitzhorn if you are in the area.

Their attentiveness and kindness truly made us feel at home. The hotel’s location is ideal—just a short walk from the train station and conveniently connected by bus to Gstaad, making it easy to explore the stunning Swiss Alps. The ambiance is a perfect mix of cozy alpine charm and modern comfort, with beautifully designed spaces that invite relaxation. Everything about our experience here has exceeded expectations—from the excellent service to the inviting atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or an adventure-filled getaway, Hotel Spitzhorn is the perfect choice. We can’t wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the region!

Fantastic place. Extremely clean and spacious rooms woth an amazing view. However, the service is what sets this place apart. From the moment we walked in everybody went out of their way to make sure the whole family (2 yo and 6 yo) had a great stay. They gave the kids candy, coloring books at the restaurant, had an amazing playground, and the cleanest pool ever. The front desk staff and the restaurant staff were spectacular. The owner was amazing as well. We will never stay anywhere else in Saanen, as this place really was perfect in all aspects.

For a visit to friends in Gstaad one night, we were recommended this hotel. |Arrival was "interesting" since it seems to be located in a residential area, but once inside it looked very cosy. Very kind and helpful reception staff.|Room was basic; can't say anything negative, but also nothing very positive. Was a bit cold and after mentioning that to the reception, they informed us this was due to there green/energy efficient system, but it would get better if we turned the heat up, which we did. Upon returning to our room, it was slightly better, including a distinctive "burning" smell.|Breakfast was disappointing. Buffet looks nice, but upon closer inspection, the choices were not great.|For the the one night it was fine and it served it's purpose, but I wouldn't recommend it for longer stays in the region. Not close (not walking distance) to Gstaad, nor to the skislopes. No idea in fact why it's located there.

An excellent and unforgettable experience at the Spitzhorn. The experience was full of great surprises, like being at home. The staff was amazing and they remembered my name and my favorite drink. They were very attentive ALL the time with a big smile. Rooms are very spacious with a beautiful view. Most of all, the owner/manager Michel was on top of things at all times. Breakfast was excellent to the last detail. I am certainly going back.

We have been going to Spitzhorn now for several years for Christmas and summer. There truly is nothing negative that one can say. The service is impeccable, the rooms are really cozy, clean. The staff is always smiling and helpful and Ilse and Michel make you feel at home with all their caring and kindness. |The food is excellent and everyone will always make sure you have everything you need, most accommodating. 10 minute walk to Saanen train station, bus services into Gstaad also 5-10 minute walk away, very practicle and well situated.|I would highly recommend anyone this family orientated hotel with all it's important assets to make your stay memorable.

Our stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. On the positive side, the room was nice and well-maintained. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, with a special mention to Natalie at reception, who was exceptionally welcoming and efficient. The hotel's location is perfect, making it easy to access key attractions and amenities in the area. However, there were a couple of issues that detracted from our stay. We found an insect in the room, which was quite off-putting. Additionally, the room felt a bit tight, lacking the space we were expecting. Also, one staff member at breakfast was less accommodating. Overall, while there were some highlights, there are areas that need improvement.
