Hôtel Splendid Cannes

Incredibly friendly and hospitable ladies at the reception who warmly welcomed us at the hotel and made our stay so remarkable. Another point to mention, the breakfast was really delicious. We were super lucky with the weather so did enjoy our breakfast at the outside terrace that overlooks a nice square. And of course a wonderful sea view from our room. Thank you and we look forward to stay at your hotel the next time we’re in Cannes.

Hotel is located right by the harbour with beautiful views from the room balconies or from the breakfast room. The selection was quite rich for the breakfast, covering the preferences of many cultures. Rooms have a sea inspired Victorian feel which is chic. Overall great place to stay in Cannes

Welcoming reception. We asked for an upper room. Our room 515 was big. We paid a supplement for a full balcony and it was really worth it. We had a top floor room and it was great, good views over the marina and old town. You could sit and watch all the activity below. Location good for loads of restaurants and atmosphere. The breakfasts were good and 1 lady particularly helped me in carrying things. Sorry I didn't ask her name. An easy walk from the TGV station with bags

Its nice hotel with amazing location, but i think the problem is about app but not about hotel…. We booked room with 2 separated beds, which they didnt have. And they gave us 2 beds in horrible smocked room 🤢 later on we’ve booked different room, but they didnt give us 2 beds but gave 1 queen, which was too small for us….

Lovely looking building near the harbour, with really nice views of the harbour from the front facing rooms.||The interior seems a bit dated and the rooms could do with an update and refresh. ||However, the bedroom and bed itself was comfortable and the whole property was clean and appeared to be well looked after.||Good location near the harbour and a short walk into town where you will find many bars and restaurants.||Overall, a decent mid range hotel which doesn't break the bank for this area.

My stay at this hotel last Friday was an absolute delight. The Manager welcomed me with genuine warmth, ensuring a smooth check-in that immediately set a positive tone and I felt absolutely welcome. The rooms were not only spotless but also boasted a stunning view, making my short stay truly memorable. The night and morning receptionist continued the stellar service, ensuring that all my needs were met with a cheerful attitude. Their personal touch added a modern flair, showcasing a commitment to guest satisfaction. The hotel's prime location in Cannes was the perfect backdrop for a delightful experience. The breakfast service was a standout, offering a delicious array served with a touch of contemporary elegance and again the kindest staff. This stay easily ranks among my favorites, thanks to the team's dedication to providing a seamless and enjoyable experience. Standing on the balcony of top floor of a sea view room, we get a splendid view of the old town, the square, the harbor, and the Film Festival Palace. It’s a regret that we were not told that the checking out time was 11 am at the reception and we could not open our room door when we checked out at 12 am. But overall, this is a pleasan hotel and the view worth the money.

I was excited to return to Hotel Splendid after staying every January for the music festival for 10 years between 2002 and 2012. The hotel staff are still as polite and friendly, especially the bar manager. There has been some nice upgrades, the breakfast room changes into a bar from 5pm, and the bedding is of a good quality, but the rest is a little tired. Our room 208 was large, had a great view and small balcony, but the smallest bathroom I’ve ever been in and a separate WC. We had big issues with sewage smells from the separate WC, and on our second night it was so bad we asked the hotel night Manger if he could move us, which unfortunately he couldn’t, the hotel was full. I made the night manager come into our room so he could experience the foul smell we were having the injure, and he was disgusted. On check out the hotel manager looked at us when we complained as if it was acceptable to be sleeping in a room with a terrible raw sewage smell, all they would do is comp the breakfast. So to summarise, we would NEVER stay at this hotel again. And we would advise you not to pay in advance for your stay if you can, so that if you have this awful sewage smell you have a little more to bargain with, and if they can’t change your room, then move out of the hotel, there are many other options around you. |The hotel management could have given us a lot better service this morning, and this review would have been slightly better, shame on you Hotel Splendid.
