It’s difficult to fully encapsulate our experience at this hotel in a few words, but I’ll try:
From the moment you arrive here, you feel like the staff is very happy to see you and have you here. We booked this through Chase’s “the edit” program, which offers free breakfast and room upgrades, so YMMV on those, but overall the experience here is so good that it doesn’t really matter how you get here. You’ll love it.
We were very early to the hotel because of an early flight (arrived around 11:00 for a 15:00 check-in), and they were apologetic for the room not being ready. We were obviously not expecting it to be, and just expected to drop our bags and return later.
They were very helpful with suggestions for the surrounding areas, and took our phone number so they could call if the room was ready, or if they were able to get us into another room earlier.
Well, at 13:00 they called saying the room was ready. We were just finishing lunch, so we walked back and…they had booked us into the top-floor suite with a balcony facing east. The room has a nice capsule-based illy espresso machine, so every morning we could make espresso and watch the sun come up. The room was impeccable and the service was outstanding.
The hotel has a rooftop bar with maybe the best view of Rome you can get. Watching the sun set over the city while sipping a drink is a great experience. The drinks are expensive (all over €20), but each drink comes with an aperitivo snack, as well as 3 bite-sized treats (for us it was a canapé, an arancino, and a sushi roll). Each person gets the 3-treat plate. It’s outstanding.
I could keep going, but the point is- this is what you hope for from a hotel of this level, and boy do they deliver. It’s a fantastic experience from the second you walk in to the moment you leave, and we will 100% stay here again next time we visit Rome.
