Hotel Split

Great location, right on a lovely beach is the major highlight of this hotel. Waking up every morning to the wonderful view, or sitting on the balcony watching the sun go down over the islands was memorable. The positives of the hotel are: Decent sized rooms Comfy beds Large bathrooms with good amenities Good breakfast selection - the coffee machine makes great coffee and the breakfast room staff are super friendly and attentive. Excellent location to get into Split, either by local bus or Uber. Areas that were not so good and definitely need improving: - Hotel lacks any sort of facilities - With no bar, nor restaurant there is absolutely no atmosphere in the hotel and you are forced to seek out places to go every evening. - Wifi is ok but doesn't reach all areas of the hotel. Needs to be boosted in every room. - €20 per day for parking is a rip off...though we did find a local parking lot @ 500mts away which was very cheap. - €25 per day for 2 sunbeds & and a parasol, also a rip off! There should be a discounted price for hotel guests. We stayed 9 nights and only used the sunbeds twice due to the high cost. - Air conditioning is very poor, it can only be controlled centrally by reception and the lowest temperature it can do down to is @ 20c/68f.This isn't low enough during the hot summer months. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Split but it would get a higher rating if some of the above was implemented.

This was by far one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. It was just beautiful. Beach hotel at its best. From day 1 to day 5 it was just lovely. Hotel is spotless. Rooms just magnificant| Sea view balcony, air con, the biggest most comfy bed! Tea/coffee facilities. Bathroom was very modern. You could have a bath and or relax in a big separate shower if you wanted!|The staff were ALL so polite and always happy to help. Got to mention the sea bar/restaurant. Just awesome. The young Waiter 'Dragon' ( yes his name) went above and beyond to make sure your time in the bar was perfect. The owner of the restaurant Ivan and his father were just such lovely people too. Hotel is 20 not 10 in my mind.|Would recommend this hotel over and over again. Just perfect| See you again next year.

Me and my boyfriend were upgraded to a better room and it was an amazing surprise. The room is big and has an extraordinary view to the sea. The only downside is that the air conditioning doesn’t work. Luckily it isn’t that hot. The hotel is directly at the beach and you can literally walk 10m from the hotel in to the water. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok. It’s a small room with few chairs and few options, but I was satisfied. Fresh fruit and good coffee. I was a bit disappointed, that this hotel has no restaurant, nor a bar. There are also no good restaurants or bars near the hotel. We always have to take a bus to Split. Luckily there’s a bus stop only 5min away. The roof top terrace and pool are awesome!

The beaches in the area are beautiful and the view - which is perhaps the only highlight of our stay. However, the positives end there. For the high price per night, this hotel feels like a complete rip-off - poor value for money. The rooms are clearly showing their age and are in desperate need of renovation. What really frustrated us were the numerous additional charges - we had to pay extra for basic amenities like sunbeds (and parking), which could be included at this price point, as there is no parking close by. The dining situation was particularly disappointing. The hotel restaurant was closed during our stay, and the hotel bar was also shut down. The breakfast was monotonous - exactly the same limited selection every single day with no variety whatsoever. Don’t expect any pancakes or other breakfast favorites. The other option was the beach bar, which operates independently from the hotel, meaning you constantly need to carry money for any food or drinks. It felt more like we were staying at a budget accommodation rather than paying prices. There was no service; if there were any conversations, they were very friendly. Given the numerous issues and the price paid, some form of compensation would be appropriate - and not just a discount for a “next visit” that will never happen.

Lovely hotel, great location. What a view to wake up to! Breakfast staff were really welcoming and breakfast was adequate, please add decaffeinated tea to your drinks not just coffee. The major downfall is that the wifi is really poor. It didn't reach to our room and was poor over all.

We had a lovely stay here. It was reasonably priced when we booked quite last minute- other places were far more! The staff were lovely, beds comfy and we had a great view of the beach/sea from our terrace. We loved being right on the beach but unfortunately no hotel owned deck chairs etc. However it's still a lovely beach with some bars and restaurants. There were also some nice restaurants in Podstrana near one of the bigger hotelz. It was easy to get into split with bolts and uber, even when there was traffic we didn't struggle. The breakfast was good but a bit limited and the rooms whilst nice and spacious could do with an upgrade (carpets should be replaced) but all in all we enjoyed our stay and it was a great base for our beach days and days into the city.

In love with this hotel, I seriously don’t want to leave. It’s been the best hotel I’ve stayed in so far with our Europe trip. The rooms are incredible with an amazing view, they’re so clean and the showers are awesome!

Really nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast, lots of choice. Nice room, great view of the sea. Would definitely stay there again, 100% recommended.
