Hotel Springfields

Hotel very tired and in serious need of updating. We were the only ones there and it almost felt abandoned. Location not great either, long uphill walk to the Mall (more like 50 mins rather than the 20 mins described) Only redeeming factor is the amazing view from the garden. Unfortunately by far the worst hotel so far on our trip around India.

I stayed for one night here with my family. The property is very beautiful and has a captivating valley view from its garden. Mall road is accessible from this property via taxi or your own vehicle. Their lounge space is tastefully decorated and has a heritage feel to it. All in all a good property and would love to stay here again.

WORST hotel!! DO NOT book with them!! Their reception and their owner/manager have 0 communication and created a mess out of simple booking! When we first called, the reception quoted us a price, to which the owner completely declined and said it’s a mistake! Manoj (owner/manager) was completely stuck on booking with him directly and paying him SO HE CAN GET ALL THE MONEY in his pocket - while the reception said we can go ahead and book online, yet Manoj made sure to make up stories by saying even if you book online, we’ll deny the booking. Every-time you call the reception, there is some new guy pretending that he doesn’t know who we had a word with, and MANOJ has an intention which is purely to cheat and hoard money! Just the booking process with them has been so frustrating and feeling like they just want to cheat you into more money, makes me feel it’s better to STAY AWAY from this property for good.

very greedy owner, cancelled my online booking and called me to quote double the price of the rooms during on-season time. he wants to pocket all the money and not pay GST on the final bill. Quite a petty thing to do.

During my discussion with Owner, I got to know the shooting of **'Arijit Singh: Pachtaoge | Vicky Kaushal, Nora Fatehi |Jaani, B Praak,** was done here :) ||It's a beautiful heritage hotel with big garden and a great valley view. I stayed here for a night and this place is very quiet surrounded by green trees 🌳. It's a proper heritage Hotel must be hundred year old and the best part is, it's very well managed. My room was super and it got a private balcony with sitting area with a very view. What else you need in such a lovely destination. Highly Recommend

We were last here 26yrs ago and were amazed to be given the same room which brought back many happy memories. Breakfast on the lawn is no longer an option which was a great shame but the monkeys can be terrible thieves |The dinning room was cold and uninviting which could easily be rectified |The common lounge areas are very pretty and if they had lit the fires it would have been beautiful especially at xmas|Our daughters room was cold and damp as it got little sunlight but was nicely decorated |Food was ok nothing special|Both bathrooms were in dire need of upgrading and I'm sure our mattress was 26yrs old, so soft and I could feel the springs |It's a good walk to the mall but we knew that anyway |Staff were helpfull but didn't go out there way to make our stay special

The room we opted was a king size double bed room. Little that we knew is that a 3 star hotel room shall be filthy dusty and without AC/(even) fan. It was end of May and very hot just a stand fan was provided that too on request. Carpets were dirty n dusty. I want to bring to your notice is that we booked this through Agoda and immediately after our check-in we wanted to leave as it was not at all a livable space. No cancellation was provided by the hotel. Upon complaining we were accommodated in a super deluxe room. The only thing that was different was the space.This too did not have fan/ac or windows for ventilation. The room was dusty as it was on day 1. No wifi in rooms only in lounge area adjacent to reception. FOOD WAS GOOD. Sharing pictures of our room (day-1)

We had a mix-up with our reservation at a nearby hotel, and they directed us to this hotel, which ended up being a lovely oasis after a long, stressful day. |The owners are friendly and warm, and they responded very quickly to any requests. The building has a European Old World charm, with a lot of little spaces to relax or have a drink or snack. They only had one room left, in the back(which was actually quite nice itself!), but offered to move us to a front room when we were out the next day, which we did. The view from our new room was amazing. |The dinner is quite frankly phenomenal. Both my husband and I agreed it was hands down one of our best meals in India—which is saying something! We even repeated our exact order the second night, every bite was just that phenomenal. |The rooms are close, and there was a noisy gathering in the room across from us, but at 11 we asked if they could ask the group to quiet down a bit, which they did right away. |This is a little mountain gem with great service. Would return again next time we are in the are.
