We had a fantastic 3-night stay at St Annen. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and most impressively the breakfast was fantastic (and great value for money). The staff were always happy to help, whether with wines or the lovely selection of teas. Also, the location is good - just short walks from Sternschanze and Karolinenviertal. Good bars and restaurants. We would definitely recommend and come back.

The room felt more like a motel room, quite basic, rather than the top rated hotel we were expecting. In exchange for a drink you could forgo a daily clean. You needed to hand your key in every time you left the hotel which we found odd.||A specific time for breakfast must be booked the day prior which is slightly annoying when on holiday. On day one we were given no explanation of breakfast options, the maître d’ just asked did we want eggs and bacon. I asked for toast but was told they didn’t have any. The selection on the buffet was not extensive. |The next day we got a much nicer welcome from a lovely girl who gave us the missing explanation - breakfast is “small but mighty” - she also arranged to toast some bread for us. ||They had a lovely courtyard where you could sit and have a quiet drink. The wine was especially good. The bar was a nice spot to have a drink before bed though drinks are pricey. ||The location is good, a relatively easy walking distance to places of interest. It’s very close to the Reeperbahn, the famous red light district.

We stayed for 2 nights so we could see Noah Kahan at the Stadtpark. |The hotel is in a quiet location on the edge of a residential area and it was an easy walk to the waterfront and other parts of the city. It’s also a short walk to a couple of S-Bahn stations. |All the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast is very good. The cabin room was small but ideal for us and looked out over the front of the hotel. It was very quiet at night.|Booking direct with the hotel meant that we were treated to a couple of glasses of wine.

Absolutely loved the St Annen. The hotel is tucked away on a quiet street in St Pauli - close enough to the Reeperbahn and the city centre for accessible fun, but without any noise or mess. We had a very warm welcome, and the room was spotless, air conditioned and very comfortable. Breakfast has to be booked for a preferred time, but is simple, tasty and with lovely service. Would definitely stay again.

Staying at this privately-run hotel for three nights was an absolute pleasure. Without exception, every member of staff I met couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The breakfast on offer was top class, with a high quality buffet and a warm egg-based course prepared fresh for each guest. During my stay I tried the fried egg and bacon, the omelette and the scrambled egg variations. All superb. Unlimited coffee and mineral water were available in the room. I also received a free bar of tasty locally-produced chocolate upon arrival and a complimentary gin + tonic and beer (both also locally produced and tasty) in return for not having my room cleaned each day. My room was compact but had everything I needed and everything was clean and working perfectly. I especially appreciated having a very comfortable bed/pillows, a safe that was at an easy-to-access height and a step-in shower that didn't flood the bathroom every time I used it. The hotel is in a very lively part of Hamburg. My room was on the street side so I couldn't always have the window open but the air conditioning kept the room at a very pleasant temperature on the one day I needed it. The noise levels outside were probably greater than normal anyway due to the "EM 2024" games being shown by a lot of bars and cafés. One last point. There is a shady terrace on the first floor. No view as such but the terrace is surrounded by greenery and is a nice quiet spot to eat a take-away or drink something from the hotel bar.. Highly recommended!!!

We enjoyed a fantastic family mini break at Hotel St.Annen. It’s location is perfect for walking around sightseeing and is close to very good train links. The staff on reception were friendly and very helpful, recommending restaurants and places to visit. We were impressed with the good selection and healthy choices offered at breakfast. The hotel and our bedrooms were spotlessly clean. After long, busy days out we sat in the bar in the evenings which was quiet and perfect for chatting about our day. We would happily stay there again.

The Hotel St. Annen was a great place to stay; the rooms were well-equipped and comfortable. Everything we wanted was covered by the breakfast spread. Excellent hotel staff; nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely return and suggest it to others looking for a convenient location near public transportation.

The location could not be better. It is on a quiet side street, but within a walking distance from the harbor and close to public transportation. We went to see a concert at Große Freiheit which was a short walk away. Personnel at the reception were more than helpful. They gave us very good advice on what to do, where to eat etc. Room was very clean with a/c and quiet. Beds are very comfortable. As a vegan and gluten intolerant I was more than happy with the breakfast selection. And a little tip: when you reserve your room via the hotel’s website, you get a glass of delicious wine as a thank you gift. We enjoyed our wine in their lovely, blooming garden.

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and found it to be a wonderful experience. It's near so many things while still being on a quiet enough side street for good sleeping (even with the windows open). Sarah at the front desk helped us so much with lovely restaurant recommendations and reservations. Definitely recommend staying here, it's lovely and so organized!

Yelp
Because of an early flight, the breakfast room was opened for me before its usual time--much appreciated. There is a very noisy bar directly opposite--suggest booking rooms not on the street side. Mineral water was provided in the room, without any means to open the bottles. Screw tops would be a better option. The staff is very pleasant and helpful.

Yelp
A privately-run friendly hotel just off the Reeperbahn (but far enough off it!), St. Annen is pretty nice. It's open 24 hours and the rooms are fine. For 78euro inc. breakfast, a single room is a touch small, but the amazing pillow more than makes up for it! There is also free wireless access. Breakfast is standard German buffet fayre, but not bad at all.

Yelp
A nice compact hotel that is clean and comfortable. Perfect for a weekend break or for a business trip and at 78 Euros a night, reasonably priced. All in all, a Hotel I have no hesitation in recommending to others.
