Such an amazing stay for our first time in Istanbul. The location is absolutely perfect with all the main major tourist landmarks nearby on the European side. Easy transit stations to go to Eminonu, North Istanbul, and Asian side by ferries. Many restaurants and modern cafes. Hotel room was clean and comfortable, with our room having a view of the Hagia Sofia which was basically right next door. Staff was so nice and accommodating, especially Enes who made our stay so easy, booking restaurants and reserving other services for us. Great restaurant and bar downstairs too. If you’re looking for a place to stay with walkable access to many major sites, especially for a first time trip to Istanbul, I can’t imagine a better mix of location, comfort, and hotel staff. Will come again.

We stayed at Hotel Saint Sophia in Sultanahmet for just one night, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for—Mert was genuinely kind, attentive, and eager to help with anything we needed. What stood out the most was how honest and trustworthy everyone was. In a city where tourist traps can be common, this hotel felt like an absolute safe haven. We never once felt overcharged or uncomfortable—only gratitude for their warmth and professionalism. The location is unbeatable—steps away from the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque—yet peaceful enough to relax after a day of exploring. The room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. It’s rare to find this level of hospitality even in high-end hotels. We cannot recommend Hotel Saint Sophia and Mert's hospitality enough and can’t wait to come back for a longer stay next time!

We stayed here for just one night, but we can’t recommend this place enough! The room was clean and comfortable, and the view of Ayasofia from our window was absolutely majestic. The location is also perfect—right in the heart of the city, close to all the major tourist attractions and just a short walk from the tram station, making it super convenient to get around. What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the staff—especially our wonderful host, Enes. He went above and beyond to make our wedding anniversary special, arranging a private balcony breakfast that became the highlight of our trip. His warmth, attention to detail, and exceptional service made us feel so valued and cared for. If I ever had the chance, I’d hire more employees like Enes in a heartbeat! Thank you, Enes, for making our anniversary truly magical. ❤️🙏

I recently stayed at Hotel Saint Sophia in Istanbul and had a fantastic experience overall. The room was nice, big, and very comfortable, giving me plenty of space to relax after a day out in the city. Everything was clean, modern, and well arranged.||The breakfast was very good, with a fresh selection and a pleasant atmosphere to start the morning.||The staff were truly outstanding—warm, professional, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their hospitality made the stay feel special.||The only downside was the air-conditioning, which is centrally controlled and had been set to winter mode, so it couldn’t cool the room as much as I would have liked.||Aside from that, I would still highly recommend Hotel Saint Sophia for its comfort, great service, and overall welcoming atmosphere.

We loved our stay at Hotel St Sophia. Whilst it is located in a particularly touristy spot, this worked well for us as we were able to pop on in between activities for a rest-bite (they serve unlimited complimentary Turkish tea and coffee!). Despite its location, once inside it feels very peaceful and private. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and we felt very welcomed. We dropped a star on the room because ours was very small and the shower room was a bit tired.

I booked a superior double room but got assigned a tiny attic room with very low ceiling. In fact, if I was a tall person, I wouldn’t even be able to fit into the shower. The room didn’t look like the one they advertised on booking.com. Aside from the tiny low ceiling room, the service is good. The breakfast was great. Location is great.

I highly recommend this hotel. We had a wonderful stay and would love to stay here again in the future. Perfectly located- a few minute walk to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, basilica cistern, and Topkapi palace. Even though, it’s centrally located, it is quiet and a perfect retreat. The beds are very comfortable and the AC works amazing. The shower has great water pressure. The breakfast is amazing. What really made our stay special is the staff. The staff made this hotel feel like home away from home. They took great care of us especially Enes. Thank you so much!

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. There are positive and negative about this hotel. The hotel is difficult to access by car/taxi. Its entrance is at a steep climb which could be hazardous for elderly people especially during wet conditions. The double bed could be challenging for 2 adult persons. The good side is that the hotel location is perfect for all the tourist attractions. It is clean and it’s staff (and especially Omer) is vey helpful and went out of their way to assist us. We will probably will not go again because we are seniors and concern about the potential danger of the steep ramp at its entrance. However we will miss the hospitality of the staff and the marvellous free breakfast
