Hotel Stadt Hannover

Nice clean hotel in an excellent location near the city centre and a short walk from the train station. No Air Conditioning which wouldn't normally be a problem except we had a very hot summer. The staff were very helpful and the service exceptional. The buffet breakfast is great

Cozy hotel in a 280 year old building with period features, comfortable rooms with excellent beds, very kind and helpful staff, and an excellent breakfast buffet with cold cuts, melon and ham/mozzarella and tomato, quarck/granola/fruit, bacon and eggs, fruit bowl and daily special treat like salmon, brie etc. The location is convenient, between the train station and the altstadt. Especially the friendly and helpful staff is a huge plus!

A nice hotel in a historic building. The staff are extremely friendly, most welcoming and helpful. The breakfast has a good selection with everything fresh. All areas of the hotel and cleaned thoroughly. Bed is really comfy too. I give it only 4 stars as the decor is a little dated and there is only one foreign language channel on the TV.

The Hotel might not be super modern but has everything you need and it is in a beautiful building with period features! Everything is so well kept and very clean! The staff was exceptionally friendly, kind and helpful! The breakfast offers a lot of choices and I would anytime choose the ‘Hotel Stadt Hannover’ over some of the other hotels in this city!

This is a gracious and reliable traditional hotel centrally located in the university town of Goettingen. Our room was clean and spacious with a fine bathroom and good wi-fi connection. The halls are quiet and clean and the entire hotel is meticulously maintained. The staff could not be more helpful, and the breakfast was delicious with offerings suited to every taste. Overall, an excellent value, dependably good, and giving on to the streets of a charming city. It was hard to leave!

I was in Göttingen for business and my hosts put me up for a night at Hotel Stadt Hannover. My stay was short but it was excellent. The location is very good. Just a short walk from the train station and the historic town center is just about a 6 minute walk down the road. The room was clean and comfortable. There was free wifi and cable (though not enough English channels, and my German isn't that good!) Breakfast was very good. There was a nice variety with eggs, yogurt, cereals, fruit, etc. It was fresh and the layout was very nice. The staff were fantastic -- very friendly and helpful. I wasn't able to iron my clothes for my meeting since there was no iron, so one of the staff members did it for me, and very quickly! ||||I would highly recommend Hotel Stadt Hannover if you are staying in Göttingen.

This hotel is a historical building located in the heart of Goettingen, very close to both the train station and the university. The rooms are small but neat and clean. The breakfast is excellent. Reception is always staffed, with staff fluent in English and very efficient. ||||My only issue was that, as in many older European buildings, the rooms were very warm and stuffy in the summer heat, which meant that I had to keep the windows open at night, which meant that rooms opening on the main road, like mine, were pretty noisy. Maybe rooms at the back are quieter? Or choose a more modern hotel in summer!

This hotel is very close to the station and inner ring road and yet it's in the old town in a charming site. Staff are friendly and competent. The rooms - I've stayed twice - are very clean, warm in winter and cool in summer. Breakfast involves a wide choice and it;s beautifully laid out. Great for the university - or for tourists.

The location is great but the rooms are not special. They are clean and tidy but have almost no amenities. The breakfast is fairly decent but not special by German standards.
