Hotel Stern am Rathaus

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Stern am Rathaus. The rooms are small but very clean, and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast was a real highlight. Everything was fresh, high quality, and delicious. You can tell that a lot of care goes into it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, honestly one of the most attentive teams we’ve experienced. The location is perfect, right in the city center, so everything is within easy reach. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

Charming hotel in a central location. Clean contemporary design throughout. Comfortable beds and totally quiet at night. You'll awaken to the melodic bells from a nearby bellfry. But wait...it gets better! The minute you arrive you'll have friends in Cologne. The operating team are sincerely focused on their guests comfort. All are friendly and kind people engaged in sharing suggestions to make your stay more enjoyable And the breakfast? Super! Absolutely delicious! Even homemade butter! I've visited Colonge many times for my work and am happy to have now found Stern am Rathaus.

What a beautiful little hotel in the centre of Köln! The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfasts were 10/10, homemade butter, Wurstsalat, brötchen and even overnight oats! The rooms were simple, yet had everything you needed. I would definitely recommend staying here!

This is the hotel you should stay at! Without a doubt, the best welcome I've had in a hotel, ever. Everyone is helpful, engaging, warm and funny. Breakfast is very good with lots of variety. The room was perfect for our short trip - shower, bath and air conditioning. It's also very quiet. And the location is close to the train station (5 minute walk), cathedral, shops and restaurants. Andy and Ingmar were _so_ helpful with advice on where to eat and drink. They're wonderful ambassadors for Köln.

Our stay at Hotel Stern am Rathaus was exceptional! Our stay was from October 28 to 30 this year. We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, both Andy and Ingmar were friendly, welcoming and incredibly attentive. Our room was comfortable, spacious and super clean. The breakfast was one of the highlights- delicious and beautifully presented. They made it very special on the morning of my Birthday (29th) by providing champagne, decorated my table and provided a treat with a candle and sang Happy Birthday. Both Andy and Ingmar went above and beyond to make us feel at home, offering us great tips about the area, places to eat and different ways to travel. They always greeted us with a smile and always in great spirits. Every detail showed care and genuine hospitality. We truly appreciated the personal touches and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Perfect hotel for a short stop in Cologne. I highly recommend. The location is very central to the river, food, shops and the train station. But the hotel itself is quiet. My room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is varied and plentiful Andy and Ingmar are delightful, friendly hosts.

We had an excellent experience staying a couple nights at Stern am Rathaus. The highlight was the wonderful staff led by Ingmar who provided us plenty of information about the city. Our room/suite was clean, had all the basics including a baby crib we requested in advance, and was centrally located only a few minutes away from major attractions including the cathedral. The parking was 15€/night at a nearby garage with hotel validation. The breakfast was fresh and delicious as well. It made our first visit to Germany great!

We have been coming to Köln for many years, and we have found this hotel to be the best. Service, hospitality, breakfast, room, and location: very good. Many thanks to the enthusiastic team for a very pleasant stay.
