A review that almost describes two hotels in one. We had been booked in by our travel company on a 4 star basis and I don’t think it was.|Certainly the friendliness of the staff was there and the hotel and bedroom were spotlessly clean. However, it was the bedroom itself which let our stay down.|It appears that we stayed in what appeared to be a 4th floor annexe to the main hotel. We had to exit reception, cross a small covered trackway and go into an attached building which had offices or businesses of one sort or another on the floors below us. To use the lift we had to insert the room key to operate the lift which, as we had only got one key, might have proved a problem if we had wanted to go out at separate times.|The room itself was clean as I have already said and quite sizeable. The problem was that there were beams and supports that meant that the usable room size was reduced and I, at 6ft1” height could not stand upright in half the floor area. Not only that, during night time perambulations to the bathroom, I had to remember to stoop to avoid hitting my head - and I didn’t every time.|The bathroom also had one of these angle supports inconveniently situated directly above the toilet so I couldn’t stand upright.|The free Wi-Fi was very hit and miss and it got quite tedious having to sign in over and over again.|Complimentary water was provided but alas, no fridge to put it in to keep it cool.|Breakfast was back in the main section of the hotel on the first floor. There was a fairly reasonable selection of food and for three days it proved no problem. I think that much longer than that, there would have been a boredom factor.|Summary. If you want to stay there, insist on a room in the main hotel. I would not recommend the annexe at all.
