I recently stayed at this hotel just outside of Bern during a heatwave, and unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. At no point during the booking process was it made clear that the rooms lacked air conditioning—a crucial detail, especially in the summer months. For a rate of $250 per night, this kind of omission feels incredibly misleading.
The room was very hot, and the only relief provided was two small fans—both of which were unreliable and kept turning on and off throughout the night. As a result, getting any real rest was impossible. We had booked the room for one night to recover after a long road trip, but we left feeling even more drained than when we arrived.
For a property that charges premium rates, the absence of basic comfort is disappointing. If you're planning to stay here during warmer weather, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere unless you’re okay with sweating through the night.
