If I could give it zero stars, I would which is ironic because the name of the hotel literally means "stars”. I stayed at this hotel just outside of Bern during a heatwave, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Nowhere during the booking process did it clearly state that the rooms do not have air conditioning. For $250 a night, this lack of transparency is unacceptable.
The room was unbearably hot, and the only solution offered was two small fans that barely worked—they would randomly stop and start again, which made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. We booked a room for one night to rest after a road trip and we ended up being more exhausted in the morning than when we arrived.
For a hotel charging premium prices, this level of discomfort is simply not okay. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re expecting even a basic level of comfort or a restful night—especially in the summer.
