This is a family run hotel and the owners are keen to ensure you have a comfortable stay. They are very helpful and obliging and are clearly proud and enthusiastic about the local area. Our room was spacious and clean with breathtaking and outstanding views of the mountains and the town right down to the sea at Tontino. The hotel is all marble and mirrors with interesting original art and items of interest.||Wi fi is complementary and the lift works. ||||Breakfast is very good. There is fresh fruit and home made cake.

One of the best features is the breathtaking and outstanding views of the mountains, the valleys and the sea. The hotel is run by a lovely family who will go out of their way to help people and their guests. They're very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has beautiful decor with some traditional arts and crafts. We look forward to return again soon and we recommend this hotel. Ulàssai is perfect for outdoor activities such as climbing, visiting the waterfalls, the Su Marmuri cave, the Stazione dell'Arte museum. The sea is only a 20 min drive and it's just an hour and a half drive to Cagliari via the new motorway but you can also take the more picturesque road through the mountains. The village has a lovely pizzeria, pharmacy and tobacconist. The next town is just a few minutes drive away.

I chose this hotel based on the TripAdvisor reviews - and it was the only one I booked for two days (also based on the great reviews!). I was not disappointed. For me, a hotel is more than just its room and accommodations, how I am treated matters most- especially in a country where I don't speak the language. ||||Hotel Su Marmuri is a little out of the way - but what a delightful detour through the mountains - amazing views! And there is so much to do in the area! I visited the Su Marmuri Grotta, the nearby Nuraghi and walked around the village quite a bit. I saw serious climbers on a cliff - one which, by the way, can be viewed from the hotel's upstairs dining room window.||||The hotel is very clean, rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, breakfast is plentiful, and yes, the owners have such a wonderful personal touch, quite exceptional. On my first night, a group of British bikers had booked a dinner, and this service was offered to me as well. I enjoyed atypical Sardinian dinner with a lasagne so amazing, I am sure I'll never have the pleasure of such a wonderful version again. I don't know how anyone can fit 6 layers into one inch and achieve such a taste burst, delicate, yet flavorful. ||On the second night, guests were offered a free tour to the local grotto -- wow! armed with a few flashlights we squeezed through a pretty small opening, down a ladder -- very cool. ||||Another couple of plusses: Son speaks excellent English, and the Wifi in the main building is pretty good. Parking is easy and free.||||I used this hotel as a stop in the mountains as I traveled from the east to the west coast- it worked out great. While the coast of Sardinia has many amazing beaches, I strongly recommend checking out the interior as well!||||Truly recommend this hotel and wish the owners the best!

We stayed for 4 nights in this quaint little village hotel - this was probably a couple of days too long considering our interests. The family who own the hotel are friendly and their son speaks English (but he is about to go to university in Cagliari). ||There is a lot of information and maps for those who are interested in serious hiking and climbing. ||The room was clean and well furnished and the views from our windows of the village, mountains and out to sea were fabulous. The hotel provides an adequate breakfast. ||Although it is said that it is only 15 minutes to the beach, I believe it is more like an hour. The local roads are very steep and windy, sometimes with little in the way of barriers. ||The only "eatery" in this village is a pizzeria. You need to drive to nearby (about 15-20 mins) towns for dinner. We went to a great restaurant called Concetta in Jerzu. However, for me, the trip back in the dark along these roads quite took the pleasure out of the evening.||This hotel is comfortable and the hosts congenial and if I was a climber I'd be in heaven here!

We stayed one night in this comfortable hotel. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. We asked for a room with a view and were not disappointed with the fantastic vista spread out before us from the 2nd floor. The room was simple, but spacious, immaculately clean and the bed very comfortable. This place is worth a visit.

Loved this place! Owners of the hotel were very nice and the room fees included breakfast. This is somewhere you want to go if you're looking to get away from the polluted city-life and be surrounded by nature. Also, there's hiking, rock-climbing, beaches and a lot of driving areas to visit. Would definitely recommend this place, but go during the off season to avoid all the traffic that I hear.

Better than expected room and service (excellent english) in an area with awe inspiring views of the adjacent mountains. Has a nice local village feel, however, the staff organised a trip to a nearby restaurant that was fantastic and then the restaurant drove us back. Very spoilt experience!! Bicycles kept in a separate locked garage.

Friendly staff, great view on the surrounding cliffs and the village from the room. The breakfast is really good (although the dining room could be a bit more cosy). Some info about climbing although Nannai's staff is even more knowledgeable…||Also, the parking is not the most convenient
