Had an amazing experience at Hotel Sudu Araliya with my family. The hotel felt very luxurious upon entry and we were warmly welcomed by the staff with a delicious welcome drink.|The staff were extremely kind and considerate, attending to our needs as best possible. They also recommended things to do in the area and helped arrange our means of travel. The reception staff were especially accommodating and hospitable. |The hotel room was very clean and comfortable to stay at and we had the most magnificent view of the lake. This was certainly a highlight.|The buffet offered a wide variety of Sri Lankan dishes and the staff kept refilling the buffet dishes, ensuring that the food never ran out. |The pool facilities were wonderful as well.||I would recommend hotel Sudu Araliya to anyone coming to stay in Pollonnaruwa

My wife and I recently took a trip to Polonnaruwa and stayed at Hotel Sudu Araliya. The environment was absolutely stunning, with a huge garden overlooking the beautiful lake, it felt like the perfect escape from the busy city life. The rooms were basic but comfortable, and the food was quite good. The friendly staff made sure we had everything we needed. The lake view, especially during sunrise, was a highlight of our stay, making the whole experience truly memorable.

I recently stayed one night with my family at Sudu Araliya Hotel, and overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The rooms and hotel facilities were excellent, providing a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. The food quality was good as well, offering value for the money. However, I noticed there was a lack of variety in the menu, which could use some improvement to better cater to guests' preferences. The hospitality of the staff was commendable, but I observed a serious issue during the booking process. Many staff members seemed hesitant to take responsibility or make decisions independently without consulting the manager for even the simplest queries. This created delays and added unnecessary frustration, which could be improved with better training and empowerment of the team. Apart from this, everything else about the stay was enjoyable, and I appreciated the overall comfort and service. With a few improvements, the hotel can offer an even better experience for its guests.

We were just 11 Pax of people went to Hotel Sudu Araliya. Staff were invited very well and gave us a tasty welcome drink. After that we enjoy the beautiful, quiet garden place and swimming pool. There's a bar near the swimming pool. There's a small swimming pool also. It's suitable for children. The staff was very friendly. The arranged buffet lunch. The lunch and other things are very good. We enjoyed ourselves a lot...

The hotel has a beautiful garden with 360 degree view of the Lake, thats the only positive aspect of the hotel, i booked a lake view room but was given a partial view room. The room didn’t have a mini bar, hairdryer not working, there was noshower gels, when requested they told only shampoo is provided, which is very weird. Its a run down hotel and needs a revamp of its amenities to be called a four star hotel. For me this is worth a 3 star hotel. There is no shops or hotels nearby, so plan everything before coming to the hotel

I had an excellent stay at Hotel Sudu Araliya in Polonnaruwa! The location is absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views and a serene ambiance. The highlight of my visit was witnessing the sunset – it was a truly magical experience.The food was delicious, with a great variety to satisfy every palate. The staff provided exceptional customer service, always friendly and attentive to our needs, making the stay even more enjoyable.If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with great views, excellent food, and warm hospitality, Hotel Sudu Araliya is the perfect choice. We stayed there for one night , half board. we had dinner and breakfast . the food was delicious. had a cocktail in the evening . The staff was friendly . The room was spacious and clean. bathroom was clean . Overall i would give a 5/5 . ||I am an interior architect and it is our first romantic getaway . The hotel is a star hotel, sits just 7km from kaduruwela ,Polonnaruwa , with a view of lake Parakrama Samudra in the historical city in the heart of Sri Lanka . There are so many historical sites to visit in Polonnaruwa. ||The hotel feels so peaceful & romantic , with the garden and the view of the lake . The rooms are quite spacious and feels fresh . The bed and pillows just feels right , we just fell asleep in our arms . ||The Dinner and the breakfast was a delight . Presentation was quite good. Compliments to the Chef. We had chicken stake as a main course for dinner and Sri Lankan Cuisine for Breakfast . ||It was one of our first romantic getaways and it went so well and we cherished our memories thanks to the crew at Hotel Sudu Araliya.

Service must improve, front office staff need to be replaced with people with hospitality. Need to recruit a better head chef to reflect the star rating. Rooms are well maintained and the garden is best in polonnaruwa. Elephants are roaming around outside perimeter.
