Lol again, all the hotels are p much the same! That we've stayed in anyway. This was probably the best out of all of them? But honestly, they are all the same.

Hotel Sunroute Ginza was our final hotel during the trip, and overall it was a good choice in terms of location. It's just a short walk to train stations, public transport, shops, and the main streets of Ginza. The room was very small—especially for a family of four—but it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had some issues: the toilet didn't flushed well and the bidet was of lower quality compared to other places we stayed. It was a bit challenging to manage in such a tight space, but the staff was kind and helpful. All in all, a decent stay in a great area.

Location is awesome. Walking distance to all of Ginza shopping, convenience stores, metros, etc. The front desk was so pleasant and extra helpful. The daily breakfast was a tasty blend of American and Japanese. Really nice service as well. We would stay again. Although the general rooms are tight, their 2 twin beds room is closer to an American size room. We loved our stay. I would stay here again for the service and convenience.

The double room was small but very clean and well-maintained—perfect for a solo traveler or couple who don’t need a lot of space. The location is right in the heart of Ginza with easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transportation. It’s also very convenient for getting to Narita Airport, thanks to nearby train. Overall, a comfortable and practical choice for a short stay in Tokyo.

Unfortunately booked the wrong room so it was VERY SMALL. 2 people for a semi-double is one bed. There was literally only enough room to walk around half the bed as the other half was cornered to the room. The bathroom did not have a vent and something about the plumbing smelled bad. It was a good location for the money considering most things we wanted was a 10-15 minute walk. It was clean enough. However, the 2 elevators definitely falls short of guests needs. Staff was nice.

Unhelpful, inflexible, and lacking basic customer care – we won’t be returning. We stayed at Hotel Sunroute Ginza in June 2025 and had a deeply frustrating and needlessly stressful check-in experience. ... Our booking through Agoda was for two rooms for four people (two adults per room) – something we clearly selected, paid for, and had confirmation of. Upon arrival, however, hotel staff insisted that the booking was for only one person per room, meaning they claimed our party of four had only been accounted for as two guests in total. This was clearly incorrect. We immediately showed the staff clear physical evidence on our phones, including confirmation emails and screenshots, all indicating that the booking was for four guests in total across two rooms. Yet the hotel refused to accept this and instead insisted that Agoda had only sent through a booking for two people, forcing us to pay an additional ¥18,600 on the spot just to proceed with check-in. What followed was over two hours of back and forth, with reception staff showing no willingness to de-escalate, contact Agoda, or take reasonable steps to resolve what was obviously a system or communication error. We were left feeling humiliated and powerless, despite being cooperative and providing ample documentation. They lacked even the most basic common sense in dealing with the problem, rigidly clinging to their own system rather than assessing the evidence directly in front of them. Eventually, after we returned home and pursued the issue rigorously with Agoda, we were refunded the additional charge – which only further proves that the mistake did not lie with us. But none of that changes the fact that Hotel Sunroute Ginza handled this disgracefully. The front desk team lacked empathy, flexibility, and even basic problem-solving initiative. Their position was rigid and unhelpful from start to finish. For a hotel in central Tokyo that regularly hosts international travellers, this level of customer service is unacceptable. Mistakes can happen – but it’s how a hotel responds that reveals its true standards. Sadly, those at Hotel Sunroute Ginza were well below what any guest should reasonably expect. We will not be staying here again and strongly advise others to consider alternative accommodation where guests are treated with fairness, respect, and common sense.

Overall: this was a great hotel! Staff was kind, check in and check out was super easy, cleanliness was amazing, and the price was pretty worth it (we paid $129.11 USD per night, booked through Klook). I left details about some super random things that were really not big issues but felt like it might be helpful to include. Would I book again? Yes, for sure but I wouldn’t if the cost was over $130 USD! The price was great for the location and it was super easy to walk to everything I was interested in in Ginza but if the price was higher I’d probably walk a little more to save some $$ for daifuku hehe

Small, but clean. Perfect location and price. Breakfast available at a fee - but there are several food options nearby. Shampoo, conditioner, pyjamas, razors, hairbrush and skincare provided.

You see what you get online! Rooms were small as per expected... One large luggage and 2 person per room... That's about it. Limited space for u to move around. Bed is not as comfy as it's sunken and as such not many restful nights. Assistance services are great with 2 gentlemen from the front office namely Mr Sapkota and Mr Rabin! Kudus to them for lending great assistance in car rental and inquiries. They are always ready to help! Cleaniess of room is normal as cups are always left u washed and left where they were from beginning of stay till the end... 😅

Yelp
Sun route is a chain of hotels across Tokyo. This is a smaller hotel with tiny rooms. But it is Tokyo so you should expect that. For the price of around $120 a night it was overall a good stay and ended up staying for 10 nights. The staff at the front desk were all very nice and welcoming. Every time walked in or out they would greet you. Housekeeping was great, you can choose for a full cleaning of your room or a eco option that only takes out the garbage. I saw on Google reviews that some people complained of the lack of restaurants around but that is not true. There's two ramen shops within steps of the hotel, there is a Domino's, McDonalds, soba noodle and tempura restaurant two blocks away. Within 10 minutes there is udon/Yoshinoya. There is no gym or laundry. But there is a nice coin laundry about 8 minute walk away. Subways are close but a 10-12 minute walk depending on the line you need. Family Mark, Lawson, Natural Lawson and 7-11 are all nearby. Checked these out, million times better and fresher than states. Oh and all the shopping your heart desires is 10 minute walk to main shopping paradise. Starbucks and Starbucks Reserve are 5-7 minute walk. For next trip, would recommend and stay here again!

Yelp
I stayed in August 2018 for 1 week, and this hotel exceeded my expectations!! Been meaning to write them a review for a while, but never got around to it until now :) I loved it here & the location cant be beat! Honestly it's not the "most luxurious" but the location is awesome, near multiple train lines, so I feel like I'll just keep coming back here now that I've stayed once. Ginza is one of the SAFEST areas btw, so if you're a girl traveling alone (like me), this is a great bet! Finding good hotels is so hard when you've never stayed there yourself, so now that I've discovered this gem, I'll probably stick to it. Full disclosure: My mom speaks japanese, so that was helpful during check-in, but their English is pretty good, so you shouldnt have too much difficulty communicating with the staff :) The staff members here are super nice, which is standard for pretty much anyone working in japan I think!!! Biggest Pro: This hotel gives you free usage of a "Handy" phone!! I had never heard of this before, but it's a cell phone that has google maps & a few other basic apps on it, and you can use 4G/data!! So I didnt have to worry about not having international cell service on my own phone, or leaving the hotel's WiFi and then being screwed on no Google maps / not knowing how to get to my destination etc... AMAZING!! Biggest Con: The WiFi is kinda slow, so if you need to do conference calls for work on Google hangout or something, your computer will really struggle with the video. I was able to do whatsapp calls fine though... The room was small, but that is normal for japanese hotels in general, so I actually think for tokyo standards, this room was BIGGER than normal! The images people have posted of the rooms are pretty accurate. The bed was super comfy, they give you PJs, and there was a desk/chair for me to do my homework. (Most hotel rooms are not even big enough for you to have a desk to sit at!) I got a kettle, fridge, nightstand, but there's no "closet" so you have to just hang your clothes on hangers they provide near the door. I guess it's kind of an "open closet" but it's not that wide. I think because it was just me by myself, I felt the space was adequate, but if a couple were here, I think it might be a little tight. Clothing / luggage wise, and also not being able to walk around to the other side of the bed. Other than that, the bathroom was very clean and spacious!! And I LOVE that they have awesome "heated" mirrors where the portion directly above the sink heats up when the lights are turned on... meaning when you shower, THAT PART DOESNT FOG UP!!!! I have literally never seen that before, I was so shook, and it took me a while to realize how they were doing this voodoo magic o_O haha Lobby is accessible 24 hours with your key, so even when you're out late with friends in Tokyo, you can come back easily, and the area will be super empty (because I think it's mostly businesses around here). I never felt unsafe -- the walk from train stations to the hotel is very easy, there's no weirdos/homeless around at all, actually there is like nobody in general. ALSO, something came up last minute with my family, so I had to check out 1 day early, and I thought there was no way I would get refunded since I already made the booking through Agoda, but I guess because it was more than 2 days before my departure, it was fine?? I called Agoda and told them my situation, and they said they would have to call the hotel to approve the refund, I thought there's no way the Hotel Manager would understand what was being requested, but sure enough, eventually I got an email saying my amended booking was confirmed!! I got a full refund for the last night, and no changes to my awesome rate that I had originally booked at! So THANK YOU to hotel sunroute ginza for making my stay amazing!! P.S. random, but just FYI if you end up staying here, the little "do not disturb" placards etc, are magnetic & stick on the door, so you move them by peeling the magnet off... I couldnt figure out for the longest time where to find the DND sign, bc 99% of the time it's just a little hanging thing that you place on the handle LOL.

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay here at Hotel Sunroute Ginza, it was walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The staff was always happy to see us when we arrived and left. They also umbrellas you can use at the front when it's raining outside. I would recommend a stay here for a couple exploring the city!
