: Absolutely Pathetic Experience – AVOID Hotel Surya at All Costs! If there were an option to give ZERO stars, I would! Staying at Hotel Surya was a nightmare from the moment we checked in. The food was beyond horrible – stale, tasteless, and downright inedible. It felt like they were serving leftovers from last week. Not even a roadside dhaba would serve such disgraceful meals. To make things worse, they shamelessly changed the fare after we checked in, thinking they could just manipulate guests once they had us under their roof. This is nothing short of daylight robbery. Completely unethical and unprofessional! And let’s not even get started on the owner – possibly the rudest person I’ve ever encountered in the hospitality industry. No manners, no courtesy, and certainly no idea how to treat paying customers. His arrogance and dismissive tone were the final nail in the coffin. This was by far the worst hotel experience of my life. Filthy behavior, pathetic food, and complete lack of integrity. I wouldn’t recommend Hotel Surya to my worst enemy. STAY AWAY if you value your time, money, and sanity.

The welcome is professional yet very warm. The location is perfect, the rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel is quiet and features a lovely, well-maintained garden. The restaurant offers delicious food. The staff is charming, and the managers were extremely helpful in organizing the next part of our trip. Many thanks and best wishes for the future !

Beautiful hotel. Big rooms with all modern facilities. Services are satisfactory. Strictly vegetarian restaurant provides tasty foods.

Good people. Very good garden in backyard. Very polite and cooperative staff. They arranged travel inside city. I liked everything except check out time of 10 morning and asking for half day rent for 3 hours. Any way they arranged free luggage room . Price also reasonable.

Stayed in hotel Surya last week of December. Called many hotels one month before but most of them were full so reluctantly booked this hotel as there was not much review. The price was very reasonable for triple occupancy. When we arrived at hotel we were so happy to see the garden. The hotel was big from inside with marble flooring.The room was large clean with marble flooring. It had double bed and 1single bed. Bedsheets and blanket were also clean. Also the best part was its balcony with garden view. (Our room was 302. There are other rooms on ground floor also but go for 300 above). The garden have swings where you can sit and relax. We could see guavas on the tree from our balcony. Also the best part was continuous supply of hot water ( in washbasin also) which was must during winter. There is a restaurant where we preordered our breakfast and lunch for train journey which they packed before 8am.. There are many restaurants nearby. We had our food at Shivam which was run by a young boy who also runs restaurant in this hotel. Only one thing where they need to put effort was bathroom tiles cleaning and comod but it was not that bad. Hotel is very near to western group of temples. The owner was also very decent and helpful . They also arranged for auto to station. Overall I and my family were happy with the stay.

A nice place to stay the the temple city. Rooms / bathroom are neat and clean and proper hygiene was maintained . Staff is very good and helpful. We had an confirmable stay. Food quality is good and a good option while visiting the city. Not very far from the temple complex.

Location is prime and just in the main market. Rooms are bit small but neat and clean and comfortable bed.. All new furnitures and morden interior.. Best part is they have beautiful garden inside and good for spending time. Overall good experience.

The hotel offered a decent variety of dishes, but the taste and quality could be improved. It would be great if the hotel could enhance the dining experience to match the level of convenience and service they provide. Overall, Hotel Surya offers a convenient and pleasant stay, especially for travelers interested in exploring the Khajuraho temples. However, some room renovations and improvements in dining options could elevate the guest experience to a higher level. If you prioritize location and attentive staff over modern amenities, Hotel Surya could still be a suitable choice for your visit to Khajuraho.
