Hotel Sussex

The most disgusting hotel in the world, it is a hotel you spect to find in the worst areas or dirty towns in Africa. Everything is old, broken, dirty, and horrible. The poor workers have to put their faces for such an ugly place. Please do not even check it, it is not worth it.

Very good place, nearby the center of the city!

Although I didn't read that great reviews about this hotel we booked it. The other hotels in Cordoba also didn't have great reviews and this one was the closest to the city center. ||The staff was nice. They have their own underground parking that I could use. ||Breakfast was ok. ||This hotel is old. The rooms are clean though. And the beds are nice to sleep in. But it really needs a renovation. New carpets would be nice.||But again. The location was the best in town and it wasn't expensive.

The staff here were great, very helpful with all of our questions. It is at the perfect location right on the main square. Our room even overlooked the square.||The room itself was fine, the bathroom looked in serious need of renovation.||The walls also seemed to be very very thin. I could hear my neighbour brushing his teeth !||||The free wi-fi worked fine during our stay.

I can only agree with the previous comment, the location is perfect, just a few meters from the main square, and very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms vary, lower floors have no view while you can see the main square from the 8th floor up. Some rooms have very tattered carpets, others slightly better, bathrooms are 1960´s standard and if your room has a connecting sliding door you know everything that´s going on next door.

Hotel Sussex is great, it is in a wonderful location. You walk out the door and you are at the Plaza, very convenient. We loved our stay there. The staff is wonderful, very accommodating. The rooms are not fancy, but very clean and comfortable. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Also, within walking distance is shopping at Patio Los Olmos. The hotel staff was very helpful in recommending restaurants and tours. We would definitely stay here again.

You simply can not beat the location of this hotel. Yes, it is dated and tired. But it's more than adequate, staff is great, breakfast is good and of course, only steps to everything you came to Cordoba to see. As a bonus, there is a 24-hour restaurant across the street in case you arrive at midnight like we did.

I turned up at 7am, straight off the night-bus, without a booking; they gave me a room for the night and lots of concierge assistance until even the next evening, and it was 305 pesos. Absolutely central location, one block from the cathedral; this isn't ideal if there's a music event in the cathedral square and you want an early night. Decent breakfast, nothing to complain about in the room or the showers. Nice lobby.||||Note that some of the rooms have permanently-closed shutters.
