Hôtel Swiss Wine by Fassbind

I had great stay at the Swiss Wine Hotel during a recent trip to Switzerland, where I reconnected with friends and explored the charming city and beyond. The hotel's location is perfect for exploring Lausanne, with Bessières Metro station right outside the door and a convenient Coop supermarket just across the street. The historic Place de la Riponne and the stunning cathedral are also within walking distance of the hotel; just a short stroll across the picturesque Charles Bessières Bridge.||My room was immaculately clean and boasted a supremely comfortable bed, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The only minor drawback was the room's warmth, as it didn't have air conditioning. However, I was able to manage by opening the windows during the day to let in the fresh air and closing them at night to enjoy a peaceful sleep (as my room faced onto the main street).||Despite this minor issue, I would definitely consider staying here again on a future visit. In fact, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and conveniently located hotel in Lausanne. Just be prepared for a warm stay during the summer months!

Great hotel! The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful; they were always smiling when we came and went and no request ever seemed like a bother. We used the free metro passes(what a convenience!) everyday and enjoyed walking to the cathedral(just over the bridge) whenever we had the chance. A COOP grocery store was across the street, which was very handy. Switzerland can be expensive, but I found purchasing food from COOP and using the fridge(there's also a stovetop I didn't use) in the room, saved quite a bit of money.|The room was extremely spacious; the bed was comfortable(I'm from the US and appreciated the soft bed) and the ceiling fan helped drown out most of the street noise. The bathroom was also big for European rooms; the water in the shower was hot and I always had good water pressure. There were plenty of towels, toilet paper and counter space, too!|While I did travel with a friend, I was able to take a walk by myself one morning over the bridge and into the historic area. I never felt unsafe. If I ever return to Lausanne, this will be my go to hotel!

Well located, clean hotel. Not a place to someone expecting any luxury, but quite comfortable. If possible pick a room facing the Cathedral. Staff were kind and helpful. Close to attractions like the cathedral, and several good restaurants.

Room was not ready at 2pm, I was asked to come back at 3pm, when I returned at 4pm, the room was still not ready. No air conditioning in the room that gets super stuffy on hot days. Very low ceilings.

Nice hotel, good location, good value. Badly let down by staff. A problem with the kettle in our room meant boiling water spilled on my hand. When I told the receptionist on checking out (5 March 24), she wouldn't let me finish my sentences before continually interrupting me. She didn't ask if I was OK or whether I needed assistance, and was totally uninterested. When I pointed out they might like to replace the kettle so it doesn't happen to someone else, she just said "OK perfect." It wasn't perfect for me, and she couldn't have been less interested in a burn effectively caused by the hotel.

We got a lovely warm welcome from Priscilia and check in was smooth. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. There was a fly in the ointment...Matilda...who was rude and unhelpful to one of our party and we felt that she was unprofessional in her attitude. Other than that our experience was positive and we would all recommend this hotel.

Brilliant hotel to stay at . Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Had a room on main road, no problems with noise. Stayed for 3days so good came back for another night before leaving. Excellent central location for enjoying Lausanne

Great service, was able to iron my shirt before going out even though it was before check in. But when I arrived in my room it smelled very bad of drain/wet old bathroom.
