Hotel Syrene Capri

We’ve been coming back to this hotel for years and the service, kind staff and family feeling is always the same. Conveniently located just a couple of minutes from the center. The staff is attentive, friendly and kind, they always remember what and how we like our breakfast. We enjoy coming back year after year, when we arrive we instantly feel at home.|The restaurant with tables under lemon trees is open for lunch and serves wonderful food. We always get the same room with sea view. The room is clean and spacious. We highly recommend it!

Stayed here for 3 nights for pure relaxation, which it was. The hotel exceeded our expectations and delivered a very high standard both for the accommodation and the breakfast. Had lunch here a couple of times which was delicious. Very relaxing atmosphere around the popular pool and good service with drinks.

One of the worst hotel experiences I have had in a while. Two main issues, the door to our balcony did not lock (not an elevated balcony, accessible to other people), the second being the room had a horrible lingering odor throughout the entire stay. We notified the hotel about this immediately and after 2 days they were unable to fix the door (3 different people came in and tried to fix it). On the 3rd day (we stayed for 4 nights) they finally offered to move our room. Extremely unsafe and unprofessional. They tried to offer champagne as a solution to our problems. The front desk staff was nice, the manager wasn't as nice. Additionally, we notified them about the smell, but after 4 days...that was never resolved. The hotel is well located, everything else was underwhelming, I would not recommend. Still to this point there has not been a solution offered for the trouble. Stay at the Mamela, i've heard better things!

We were not residents, but stopped by to see about refreshments at their terrace. We ended up not going to the terrace because the lemon garden was so stunning. The drinks were good and service was friendly and prompt. Recommend.

The location is to die for, in the middle of capri and you can pretty much can go walking everywhere and its surrounded by shops and restaurants. Also their lemon terrace is extremely beautiful!||My 4 out of 5 is because the rooms are outdated and for this price point you cannot have bathrooms this old.

The hotel has some positives, including clean, decently sized rooms, a good location, a pool, and a pleasant outdoor seating area where a complimentary breakfast is served. However, if you're someone who values strong air conditioning, this may not be the place for you. The rooms and hallways are uncomfortably hot and stuffy, making it difficult to sleep without minimal clothing or covers. Unfortunately, the lack of adequate climate control overshadowed the other amenities. Given the extremely high price of the stay, the experience just didn't feel worth the cost. We notified the hotel of the issues with the air conditioning but after looking at it three times, they didn’t offer a solution or an alternative room. It was terribly uncomfortable and we barely slept. If it was inexpensive I may have been more understanding but it cost almost 1000 euros a night.

Stay away in the summer. There is no air at all in the rooms  We actually stayed in two rooms, called in both for help and they come up, pretend to do something and then they go back down. You can't breath, none of us slept, it what SO hot. Avoid in any summer month. It was almost too hot to get dressed to go to dinner each night. ||Yes, the pool is nice, the breakfast patio is to die for, the staff is great. But they need to do a major renovation to bring AC to the rooms. There are plenty of old palaces, chateaus, etc that have great cold air.

Hands down one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at in Italy. Besides the rude manager, they we're not accommodating to issues that came up. Breakfast included was very underwhelming! Would not recommend.
